How do I configure the power saving modes on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+?

Power saving modes limit your device's performance to conserve battery power. Choose between Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Turn On Power Saving Mode

Power saving mode conserves battery power by limiting CPU performance, reducing screen brightness, and turning off the touch key light and vibration feedback. You can turn on Power saving mode manually, or set your device to go into Power saving mode automatically.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Apps Icon.
  2. Touch Settings Settings Icon.
  3. Touch Battery Battery Icon.
Note: It may be necessary to touch the SYSTEM tab and then touch Battery.
  4. Touch Power saving mode.
  5. Touch the slider Off Slider to turn Power saving mode on On Slider .
    Turn On Power Saving
  6. Touch Start power saving and choose when you want Power saving mode to take effect.
    Start Power Saving

Turn On Ultra Power Saving Mode

Use Ultra power saving mode to switch your device's screen to grayscale and turn off nonessential applications so you get the maximum battery life. Location services, and connectivity features such as Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®, will also be turned off in Ultra power saving mode. With Ultra power saving mode turned on, even if you're down to a 10% charge, you can receive calls and texts for up to 24 hours.*

*Based on laboratory testing. Battery power consumption depends on factors such as network configuration, wireless service provider, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, vibrate mode, backlight settings, browser use, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and applications' usage patterns.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Apps Icon.
  2. Touch Settings Settings Icon.
  3. Touch Battery Battery Icon.
Note: It may be necessary to touch the SYSTEM tab and then touch Battery.
  4. Touch Ultra power saving mode.
  5. Touch the slider Off Slider to turn Ultra power saving mode on On Slider.
  6. Review the terms and conditions, mark the checkbox, and touch AGREE.
