How do I change the lock screen notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S® 4?

Any notifications you receive while your device is locked will display on your lock screen. By default, all content is displayed, but you can change the lock screen notification settings to hide sensitive content or all notifications.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Change Notification Settings

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Settings.

  3. Touch the MY DEVICE tab.

To switch to the tab view, touch Menu > Switch to tab view.

  4. Touch Sounds and notifications.

  5. Scroll to and touch Notifications on lock screen or While locked.

  6. Select Show all content to display all notification content on your lock screen, Hide sensitive content to hide sensitive information when the screen is locked, or Do not show notifications to turn off lock screen notifications completely.
