How do I connect my Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 to DLNA® enabled devices (nearby devices)?

Your device can connect with nearby DLNA enabled devices to share videos, photos, and music via Wi-Fi®, Wi-Fi Direct®, or Mobile Hotspot.

Set Up the Nearby Devices Feature

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Settings.

  3. Scroll to and touch Nearby devices.

  4. To change the name your device displays to nearby devices, touch More options.

  5. Touch Rename device.

  6. Enter a new display name for your device and touch OK.

  7. Touch Content to share and mark the checkbox for each type of content you want to share with nearby devices. Touch OK.

  8. Touch Download to and choose Device or SD™ card.

  9. Touch Receive files from other devices and choose Always acceptAlways ask, or Always reject.

Share with Nearby Devices

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Settings.

  3. Scroll to and touch Nearby devices.

  4. Touch the slider to turn Nearby devices on.

  5. You will receive requests from nearby devices to access your device. Touch OK to confirm. This will add the device to the Allowed devices list. If you touch CANCEL, the device will be added to the Denied devices list.

    To allow access to a device you have previously denied, touch Denied devices, mark the checkbox for the device you want to allow, and touch DELETE.

  6. Open a compatible application such as the Gallery, and touch the name of the desired device in the Nearby devices list.

  7. The nearby device will have access to any content being shared. To save content, open the desired content and touch More options > Download.
