How do I connect a device to my Windows PC to use SideSync 4.0?
To use SideSync 4.0, connect your device to your Windows PC using either Wi-Fi or the USB cable that was supplied with your device.
Connecting to your Windows PC using the USB cable
Connect your device to your PC using the supplied USB cable.
Your device should now be connected. The Notification Panel should show Connected as a media device, as shown below.
You are now ready to use the SideSync 4.0 app.
Connecting to your Windows PC using Wi-Fi
To connect your device to your Windows PC using Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
Turn Wi-Fi On
On your device, open the Quick Panel by swiping two fingers slightly apart from the top of the screen to the bottom.
Touch Wi-Fi to turn it on or off. When Wi-Fi is on, the device will scan for and automatically connect to any previously connected access points, commonly known as the network.
Connect Your Device to a Wi-Fi Network
From the Home screen, touch Apps.
Under Wi-Fi networks, touch the network you want to connect to.
Enter a wireless password, if necessary.
Your PC and your device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Connect Your Windows PC to a Wi-Fi Network
On your PC, connect to a network by clicking the network icon in the notification area on the lower right side of your screen.
In the list of available wireless networks, click a network, and then click Connect.
Some networks require a network security key or password.
Once your device and Windows PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, you are ready to use the SideSync 4.0 app.
