Taking a Photo Using Manual Mode on Your NX500 Camera

Manual mode is useful in controlled shooting environments, such as a studio, or when it is necessary to fine-tune camera settings. The Manual mode is also recommended for shooting night scenes or fireworks.

Manual Mode

  1. Rotate the mode dial to M (Manual mode).

    Manual mode lets you adjust the shutter speed and aperture value manually. In this mode, you can fully control the exposure of your photos.

  2. Touch Fn to set the manual mode options. 

    You can also scroll the command dials 1 and 2 to adjust the shutter speed and aperture value, respectively.

  3. Touch the Shutter Speed.

  4. Touch the Shutter Speed and adjust the shutter speed to your preference by swiping left or right. For this example, swipe to the left.

  5. Touch Aperture.

  6. To set or change the aperture value, swipe to the left or right. For this example, swipe to the left.

  7. Touch Back.

  8. Half-press the Shutter button to focus. Then, press the Shutter button to capture the photo.
