How to Setup Multiple Users on Your Galaxy Tab E NOOK

Your can share your device with other people by creating additional users. Users will have their own storage space they can use to save downloaded apps, music, images, and so on. You can add up to seven additional users.

Add New User Account

To add a new user with full access to the apps and content on the device:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Users.

  2. Touch Add user or profile.

  3. Touch User.

  4. Touch OK.

  5. The device will return to the lock screen. Press the Home Key and swipe to unlock the device.

  6. Touch SETUP NOW.

  7. Touch on the welcome screen for new users. New users will be guided through the same setup wizard as the original user. Follow the on-screen prompts to continue.

To add a New User with Restricted Access to the apps and content on the device:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Users.

  2. Touch Add user or profile.

  3. Touch User (restricted profile).

    User (restricted profile) is to restrict account users with limited access to apps and content.

  4. If prompted, you will need to set up a secure screen lock to continue. Touch SET UP SCREEN LOCK and follow the on-screen prompts to select a screen lock type.

  5. Touch the slider next to the app(s) to turn on, to give access to User.  Some apps are not supported in restricted profiles.

    You can always edit the the allowed apps by touching Settings.

  6. Touch Back to go back to the previous page and then touch New restricted account 1.

  7. The device will return to the lock screen. Touch the Home Key and swipe to unlock the device.

  8. Restricted users can customize their Home screen with wallpaper, permitted apps, and widgets by touching and holding the screen and choosing from the Home screen menu.

Switching User Accounts

  1. To switch between users, press the Power/Lock Key to lock the device. Press it again to view the lock screen.

  2. Touch the username/profile icon.

  3. Select from the available user accounts to switch accounts.

Delete User Account

To delete users from your device, you must be logged in as the Owner.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps  > Settings > Users.

  2. Touch Delete next to the User you want to remove.

    To delete a Restricted user account, touch Settings, and then Delete.

  3. Touch DELETE to completely erase all apps and data related to this user.
