Do I need to install drivers to transfer my content using Smart Switch?
The first time you connect your Samsung device to your computer, it will automatically locate and install the necessary drivers. (This process can take a few minutes to complete.) After the drivers are installed, the device will appear in the Smart Switch application.
If the drivers do not install automatically, go to the Samsung Support site and visit your device's support page. Click Manuals & Downloads to download the drivers for your device.
Will any of my old content be overwritten by Smart Switch?
No, your data will not be overwritten. Existing content such as contacts and SMS messages will remain, while the new content will be added to your new Samsung Galaxy device.
When I transfer apps using Smart Switch, does it transfer progressive content as well? For example, if I have been playing Angry Birds® for six months and I’ve cleared nearly all the screens, does that information get transferred along with the app itself?
No, the app is simply reinstalled, not reinstated.
