How do I make calls on my Samsung Galaxy S6 using Wi-Fi Calling?
You can make calls on your device using Wi-Fi calling on a Wi-Fi network. All Wi-Fi calls made to U.S. phone numbers are free. Calls made to foreign numbers are billed at international long distance rates.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Before making a call using Wi-Fi, you must first connect to a Wi-Fi network.
From a Home screen, touch Apps > Settings.
Touch Wi‑Fi, and then touch ON/OFF to turn Wi‑Fi on or off.
Touch the network you want to connect to. When you select an open network, you are automatically connected to the network. Otherwise, enter a password to connect.
Setting up Wi-Fi Calling and making a call
Before making a call using Wi-Fi Calling, you must activate Advanced Calling and Wi-Fi Calling on your device.
Make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Touch Apps > Settings > Advanced Calling > Activate Advanced Calling.
Touch Activate and follow the online instructions.
From the Advanced Calling menu, touch Activate Wi-Fi Calling and follow the online instructions.
From any Home screen, touch Phone.
Enter a number on the keypad and touch Dial.
Now, the call is made over your Wi-Fi connection rather than your network.
