Use the Microsoft Family on Your Galaxy TabPro S

If you plan to share your PC with other people, consider adding accounts for them. It's always nice to share, and that way your friends will have some personal space—including separate files, browser favorites, and a desktop they can call their own.

Adding Microsoft Family

  1. On the taskbar, select Start.



  2. Select Settings.



  3. Select Accounts.



  4. Select Family & other users.



  5. Select Add a family member.



  6. Select Add a child or Add an adult and enter the email address of the person to send an invitation to join your Microsoft Family.



  7. If the person doesn't have an email address, select on The person I want to invite doesn’t have an email address.


  8. Confirm the e-mail address.



  9. Select Done.



  10. After accepting the invitation, the person can sign in to Windows 10 on your tablet using the email address you sent the invitation to.

Managing Microsoft Family Settings

  1. On the taskbar, select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.



  2. Select Manage family settings.



  3. Select settings to turn on for your child's account:
    • Recent activity allows you to turn on activity reporting for your child so that you can see what he has been searching for online, what websites the has been visiting, what apps and games he has been downloading and playing, and how much time he has been spending on the tablet. You can also get activity reports emailed to adults in the family weekly.


    • Websites is where you can turn on website restrictions for your child. You can choose to block or allow specific sites and to restrict websites rated beyond a certain age. If you have very young children, you can also choose to only allow them to visit websites you've decided are safe.


    • Apps & games is where you can turn on restrictions for apps and games. You can choose to only allow you child to download games below a certain age rating and you can see the apps and games that you've blocked or allowed.


    • Screen time allows you to set limits as to when during the day your child can be on the tablet and the maximum amount of time he can spend on it.

To Allow or Block Someone from Using Your Tabpro S

  1. On the taskbar, select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.



  2. Select on the family member you want to allow or block.



  3. Select Change account type or Block.
