How do I manage the application permissions on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+?
Permissions allow applications access to features (such as Contacts, Storage, and Location) to improve user experience. You can turn permissions on or off for individual applications. Some of the reasons for turning off application permissions include increased privacy and improved battery life. For example, preventing a social media application from accessing your contacts can help protect your privacy. Battery life can be improved by turning off the location permission for applications that do not need it. Turning permissions off can negatively impact the functionality of an application, such as turning off Location permissions for the Maps application. However, if you attempt to use a feature of an application that requires a permission you have turned off, you will have an opportunity to turn it back on.
Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.
