Backing Up and Restoring Data for Your Gear S2

When you connect your Gear S2 to a new mobile device, you will need to reset your Gear S2. The Light reset option will preserve your personal data, but it's still a good idea to back up any data stored on your Gear S2 before performing any reset.

The screens and steps shown below may vary by wireless service provider and your mobile device.

  1. From the Home screen of your mobile device, touch the Apps icon.


  2. Touch the Samsung Gear icon.

    The Samsung Gear application may be located in the Samsung folder by default on some devices.


  3. Touch Settings.



  4. Touch Back up and restore.



  5. Touch Back up data to back up your current data, or touch Restore data to restore previously backed-up data.
