Uninstallng and Turning Off Applications on Your Galaxy Tab E 8.0

To make the most of your device's internal storage capacity, you can uninstall or turn off applications you don't use. Downloaded applications can be uninstalled and preloaded applications can be turned off.

Uninstall Downloaded Applications

Preloaded applications (applications built into your device) cannot be uninstalled. You can only turn off or hide them.

View all of your downloaded apps and uninstall any unused apps from the Apps menu.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > EDIT.

      

  2. Touch on the application you want to uninstall.

       

      

  3. Touch OK.

      

      

  4. Using the Application Manager

      From the Application manager, you can uninstall any applications and application updates you have downloaded.

    1. From the Home screen, touch Apps >Settings.

        

    2. Touch Applications.

        

        

    3. Touch Application manager.

         

        

    4. Touch the application you want to uninstall.

        

        

    5. Touch UNINSTALL.

        

         

    6. Touch OK.

      Applications preloaded on your device cannot be uninstalled, but you can uninstall any updates you have applied.

        

         

Turn Off Preloaded Applications

From the Apps menu, you can turn off preloaded applications. Once turned OFF, an application will be hidden and will not be accessible until it is turned back ON.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > EDIT.

      

  2. Touch on the application you want to turn off.

       

      

  3. A message may warn you about turning off the application. Touch TURN OFF to proceed.

      

      

  4. Using the Application Manager

    1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings.

          

    2. Touch Applications.

        

        

    3. Touch Application manager.

         

        

    4. Touch the app you want to turn off.

         

        

    5. Touch DISABLE.

        

        

    6. Touch DISABLE.

         

         

    7. Touch OK to finish disabling the application.

        

         

Turn On Preloaded Applications

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings.

      

  2. Touch Applications.

       

      

  3. Touch Application manager.

      

      

  4. Touch the application you want to turn on.

        

      

  5. Touch ENABLE.
