Pair the Smart Remote to Your 2016 Smart TV (UN**K****)
When you turn on your TV for the first time, the Samsung Smart Remote will pair to the TV automatically. If the Samsung Smart Remote does not pair to the TV automatically, follow the steps below.
Only one Smart Remote can be paired to the TV.
Pair the Smart Remote
If the Samsung Smart Control does not pair to the TV automatically, point it at the remote control sensor of the TV, then press and hold Return/Exit button and Play/Pause button simultaneously for 3 seconds.
• Make sure all of the stickers have been removed since the TV ships with protective stickers covering some of the sensors.
• Confirm that the TV's power cord is connected correctly at both ends and that the remote control is operating normally.
• Make sure your battery isn't low and replace if needed.
When the Bluetooth Icon is displayed on your TV screen, release the two buttons on your Smart Control Remote.
You may need to reset your Smart Control remote before it will pair. To do this, press and hold the Return/Exit and Extra buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds. The images, buttons, and functions of the Samsung Smart Control may differ by model.
Your TV will begin pairing with your Smart Control Remote.
When paired properly, the Pairing Complete Check Mark will appear indicating that your remote is now paired to your TV.
