Galaxy Tab S2 - How do I take screenshots on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2?

There are multiple ways you can take screenshots to capture what is displayed on your screen. Once captured, the screenshots will be saved into your photo gallery automatically.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Using Device Keys to Capture Screenshots

To capture the screenshot of the displayed screen, press the Home key and the Power/Lock key at the same time.

When done correctly, the screen will flash as it makes a camera shutter like sound and a screenshot icon will appear on the top of your screen.

Turning the Palm Swipe Feature On

To turn on the Palm Swipe feature, proceed to the next steps:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps  > Settings  > Advanced features.

  2. Then, navigate to Settings > Advanced Features > Palm swipe to capture.

  3. Touch the slider next to On to turn on Palm swipe to capture.

Capture Screenshots Using Palm Swipe

You can also touch SHARE, EDIT, or DELETE under the screenshot to take action directly from the Notification Panel.

Place the side of your hand on the screen and swipe from one end to the other to capture a screenshot.

When done correctly, the screen will flash as it makes a camera shutter like sound and a screenshot icon will appear on the top of your screen.

Viewing the Captured Screenshots

• You can also touch SHARE, EDIT, or DELETE under the screenshot to take action directly from the Notification Panel.
• Your Gallery consists of various sorting options (Time, Albums, Events, Categories). If your sorting option is other than Time, a Screenshots folder will appear automatically where you can access your screenshots.

The screenshot can be viewed immediately through the notification panel by selecting Screenshot captured.

To view your screenshots at any time:

From the Home screen, navigate to Apps > Gallery.

Sharing Screenshots Immediately

You can share or crop your screenshot immediately after taking your screenshot by touching Share.

Sharing Screenshots from your Gallery

The share icon may vary depending on the carrier of your device.

  1. From your Home screen, touch Apps

  2. Touch Gallery and select the photo you would like to share.

  3. Touch Share and choose where you would like to share the screenshot.
