Using the Smart Manager on Your Galaxy Tab S2

The Smart Manager app lets you manage your device's battery life, storage, RAM usage, and security all in one place.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Smart Manager may not be available on your device depending on the wireless provider.

Access the Smart Manager

Smart Manager functions are available through both the widget and settings.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Smart Manager.

  3. The Smart Manager displays your device's Battery life, available Storage, RAM usage, and Device security status.

  4. Touch CLEAN ALL to quickly clear the RAM space and delete unnecessary data on your device.

Add the Smart Manager Widget

To add the Smart manager widget to your Home screen:

  1. Touch and hold the Home screen to access Widgets.

You can also access the widget by using the pinch gesture on the screen.

  2. Touch Widgets at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Swipe to find the Smart Manager widget and then touch and hold the Smart Manager widget.

  4. Power saving mode: Power saving mode helps save battery life by limiting the maximum CPU performance, reducing screen brightness, turning off touch key lights, vibration feedback and reducing the on screen time out when notifications are received.

While holding onto the widget, drag it to an available screen and release it.

  5. You now have easy access to the Smart Manager app through the Smart Manager widget.

Manage Battery Settings

  1. Open the Smart Manager widget or setting using the previous instructions.

  2. Touch Battery in the Smart Manager app or widget.

  3. The Battery screen displays the percentage of battery power remaining and an estimate of the remaining usage time.

If the charger is connected, display will read Charging/Charger connected.

  4. Turn the Power saving mode and the Ultra power saving mode on from this screen by selecting the function.

  5. View the App power saving details by touching DETAIL.

  6. Turn the percentage on the status bar on or off.
