Clear App Data/Cache on Your Galaxy Tab E

If an application on your device is not responding, you can clear the temporary files from the application cache to free up the memory. If the application still remains unresponsive, you can clear the application data. Clearing the application data can also free up your memory space. By using this function, you do not have to uninstall an application or reset your device to factory settings when an application is unresponsive.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Clear Application Cache

By Clearing the data, the application will be reset to the factory default settings. Any saved personal settings for the application will be removed.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2.  Navigate to Settings > Applications > Application manager.

  3. Select the application you would like to clear the cache. 

  4. Then, navigate to Storage > CLEAR CACHE

Clear Application Data

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2.  Navigate to Settings > Applications > Application manager.

  3. Select the application you would like to erase the data. 

  4. Then, navigate to Storage > CLEAR DATA.
