What Are the Different Camera Modes on My Samsung Galaxy S5 Active? (SM-G870A)

The Camera app is preloaded with a variety of camera modes. Use video recording to create slow-motion or time-lapse videos, or broadcast live on YouTube™. Control exposure, shutter speed, and focus when capturing still photos. You can access additional camera modes by downloading from Samsung Galaxy Apps.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Select a Camera Mode

 The camera mode is set to Auto as default.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Navigate to Camera MODE.

  3. The following are the available camera modes pre-installed on your device:

The following camera modes are pre-installed on your device:

Auto Allow the camera to evaluate the surroundings and determine the ideal mode for the picture.
Beauty face Take a picture with lightened faces for gentler images.
Panorama Create a linear image by taking pictures in either a horizontal or vertical direction.
Virtual tour Create interactive virtual tours of your surroundings.
Shot & more Take a quick burst of pictures and apply effects to them.
Dual Camera Take pictures and record videos using the front and rear cameras at the same time. A variety of picture-in-picture styles are available.
Manage Modes Select which shooting modes to display when you touch MODE.
Download Download additional shooting modes from the Galaxy Apps store.
