Use the Multiroom App with your Soundbar (HW-K950 and HW-K850)

Download the Samsung Multiroom app to your smartphone or tablet and you’re in total control of your music and your Multiroom products from anywhere in your home. The Samsung Multiroom app is available in the Google Play Store and the App Store.

Getting Started

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Samsung Multiroom.

  3. Review the information on Samsung Multiroom. Then, touch OK.

  4. Touch ALLOW.

  5. Touch ALLOW again.

  6. Review the Terms & Conditions. Then, touch I agree.

  7. Touch M7 / M5 / Soundbar / Link Mate.

  8. Press and hold the Wi-Fi-SETUP button on the bottom of the soundbar until you hear a notification.

  9. Touch Next.

  10. If prompted, enter the password for the wireless network. Then, touch Continue.

  11. The connection is now complete.

Playing Music

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Samsung Multiroom.

  3. Rotate the dial to browse through the available songs.

  4. Releasing your finger will select the song and it will automatically begin playing.

  5. Alternatively, touch Menu.

  6. Select your preferred source of music. For this example, select Songs on Phone.

  7. Touch Songs.

  8. You can select the song you want to listen to or create a playlist.

Selecting the Speaker to Use

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Samsung Multiroom.

  3. Touch the Speaker Menu icon.

  4. Select the speaker you want to use. For this example, select [Samsung] R5.

  5. Rotate the dial or use the music menu to select a song.

  6. Touch the Speaker Menu icon to view all of the available speakers.

  7. If you want, you can select other speakers and play different songs on them simultaneously.

Selecting Input Source

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Samsung Multiroom.

  3. Touch Menu.

  4. Select your preferred source of music.

Grouping Speakers

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Samsung Multiroom.

  3. Touch the Speaker Menu icon.

  4. Touch Group.

  5. Select the speakers you want to group. For this example, touch Select All.

  6. To finalize the grouping, touch Done.

  7. The speakers are now grouped.

Settings

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Samsung Multiroom.

  3. Touch the Speaker Menu icon.

  4. Touch Settings.

  5. Scroll through the device settings.
