How do I View My Pictures on My Samsung Galaxy On5? (SM-S550 and SM-G550)

Photos and videos on your device are stored to the Gallery and My Files app.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.


View Photos

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.



  2. Touch Gallery and select the thumbnail of the photo or video you want to view.


  3. You can sort the photos in your Gallery in various ways. To change your photo arrangements, touch the drop down menu.


    • Time: Sort photos by the date and time they were taken.
    • Albums: View photos and videos grouped by album.
    • Events: When you capture photos or videos, events are automatically created. You can also create a new event and add photos to it.
    • Categories: Photos are analyzed and grouped in a variety of categories, such as People, Food, and Scenery.

  4. Display the options for the photo by touching the screen.


Change Default Save Location

Videos and pictures taken using certain camera modes will be saved to the device regardless of the storage location setting.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.



  2. Navigate to Camera > Camera Settings > Storage location.



  3. Select the default save location.


Move Images to the MicroSD Card

  1. Select the default save location.



  2. Navigate to My Files > Images > MORE.



  3. Touch Edit.



  4. Select the photos you would like to move to your SD card. Then, touch MORE.



  5. Then, touch MOVE.



  6. Navigate to and touch SD Card. Then, touch DONE. The selected images will be moved to your SD Card.
