Dual Surface Unit

The dual surface unit features inner and outer elements. You can select either element depending on the size of the cookware you are using.

  2. To select the pan size, touch the Pan Size key.

  3. When the indicator turns on, the unit operates in Dual mode.

  4. To set and adjust the power level, run your finger around the element control in either direction. The power level can be set from 1 to 15 for the selected cooking zone.

If you do not set a power level after selecting the surface, the element will turn off automatically after 10 seconds. The magnetic knob can also be used to control the surface.

Residual Heat Indicator

  • When an individual cooking zone or the cooktop is turned off, the presence of residual heat is indicated with an H in the digital display of the appropriate cooking zone. The residual heat indicator goes out only after the cooking zone has cooled.

  • The cooktop will be turned off completely when the H indicator disappears.

As long as the residual heat indicator is illuminated, there is a risk of burns. If the power supply is interrupted, the symbol will go out and the stove will still be hot.

Cooking Area

  • The cooking areas on your cooktop are identified by permanent circles on the glass cooking surface. For the most efficient cooking, fit the pan size to the element size.

  • Pans should not extend more than ½ ̋ to 1 ̋ beyond the cooking area.

  • When a control is turned on, you can see a glow through the glass cooking surface. To maintain the preset heat setting, the element will cycle on and off, even at high settings.
