Move Apps on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to a microSD Card

Feel like your phone is getting a little crowded? You can transfer Android apps to a microSD card to free up space. If you're up to your ears in apps you no longer use, learn how to completely Uninstall or Disable an App.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Move Files to a microSD Card

Keep your files while saving room on your phone by transferring files to a microSD card. Follow the steps below to move your files and documents.

This function is not supported if the microSD card is not inserted in your device.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Applications.

  3. Touch the app you want to move.

  4. Touch Storage.

  5. Touch CHANGE.

Not all apps can be moved to the microSD card. Pre-installed apps cannot be moved. If CHANGE is not available, that specific app cannot be transferred to the microSD card.

  6. Touch SD card.

  7. Touch MOVE.
