Running a Cycle on Your FlexWash™ Washer (WV60M9900)

FlexWash™ has changed the laundry game. It's clearly not the same washer you grew up with, but it's not so different that you have to take a class on how to operate it. Check out the guides below for the general step-by-step on operating your new washer.

Running a Cycle on the Upper Washer

  1. Touch POWER to turn the Upper Washer on.

  2. Select your desired cycle.

    • The NORMAL cycle is for lightly soiled cotton, t-shirts, towels, and mixed loads.

    • The DELICATES cycle is for sheer/silk fabrics like bras, lingerie, and other hand wash only fabrics.

    • The ACTIVE WEAR cycle is for exercise wear such as sports jerseys, training pants, shirt/tops, and other performance clothing.

    • The RINSE+SPIN cycle is used for loads that need rinsing only or to add fabric softener to a load.

  3. Touch Temp. to cycle through the temperature settings to the desired temperature.

    • Cold is used for brightly colored, very lightly soiled items.

    • Warm is used for colorfast items.

  4. Review the selected settings, and  then touch Extra Rinse to enable it if desired.

Available settings and options will vary by cycle. Refer to the user manual for a chart of available features for each cycle.

  5. Touch and hold START/PAUSE until the cycle begins.

Running a Cycle on the Lower Washer

  1. Touch POWER to turn the Lower Washer on.

  2. Select your desired cycle.

    • The NORMAL cycle is for lightly soiled cotton, t-shirts, towels, and mixed loads.

    • The HEAVY DUTY cycle is for sturdy, colorfast fabrics, and heavily soiled items.

    • The WHITES cycle is for white items with or without bleach.

    • The SANITIZE cycle is for heavily soiled, colorfast items. This cycle heats the water to 150°F to eliminate bacteria.

    • The DELICATES cycle is for sheer/silk fabrics, bras, lingerie, and other hand wash only fabrics.

    • The PERM PRESS cycle is for wash-and-wear, synthetic fabrics, and lightly to normally soiled items.

    • The TOWELS cycle is for bath towels, washcloths, and mats.

    • The BEDDING cycle is for bulky items such as comforters, blankets, and sheets.

    • The QUICK WASH cycle is for lightly soiled items needed quickly.

    • The ECO COLD cycle is for normally and lightly soiled items. This cycle uses only cold water to save energy.

    • The ACTIVE WEAR cycle is for exercise wear such as sports jerseys, training pants, shirts/tops, and other performance clothing.

    • The RINSE+SPIN cycle is for for loads that need rinsing only or to add fabric softener to a load.

  3. Touch Temp. repeatedly to cycle through to the desired temperature setting.

    • Extra Hot is used for heavily soiled, colorfast items.

This setting is only available with NORMAL, HEAVY DUTY, SANITIZE, and Self Clean+.

    • Hot is used for whites and heavily soiled, colorfast items.

    • Warm is used for colorfast items.

    • Cool is for brightly colored, very lightly soiled items.

    • Cold is used to run a cycle without any hot water added.

  4. Touch Rinse to cycle through to the desired number of rinses.

If no rinse number is selected, the rinse cycle will be skipped.

  5. Touch Spin to cycle through the spin settings to the desired spin speed.

    • Extra High uses a stronger spinning process to remove moisture.

Extra High is not suitable for wrinkle-free, non-iron fabrics, or when washing large loads.

    • High is used for underwear, t-shirts, jeans, and sturdy cottons.

    • Medium is used for jeans, wrinkle-free or wash-and-wear items, and synthetics.

    • Low is used for delicate items that require a lower spinning speed.

    • No Spin is used to skip the spin cycle.

    • When no Spin cycle is selected, the Rinse Hold option is selected. This setting will delay the cycle indefinitely without spinning or draining the water, and is used for clothes which need to soak. To complete the cycle, switch to any of the above spin settings.

  6. Touch Soil Level to cycle through the soil level options to the desired setting.

    • Extra Heavy is for extremely soiled items.

    • Heavy is used for heavily soiled loads.

    • Normal is used for moderately soiled loads.

    • Light is for lightly soiled loads.

    • Extra Light is for barely soiled loads.

  7. Review the selected settings, and enable options such as Steam, Delay End, or Super Speed if desired.

Available settings and options will vary by cycle. Refer to the user manual for a chart of available features for each cycle.

  8. Touch and hold START/PAUSE until the cycle begins.
