Customizing Home Screens on Your Galaxy Tab S3

Customize your Home screen by adding app shortcurs, widgets, folders, and changing wallpapers.

Manage Home Screens

    From any Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.

    Use the following options to manage screens:

    • Add a screen: Swipe left until you reach the end and then touch Add.
    • Remove a screen: Touch and hold the screen you want to remove, and then drag it to Remove.
    • Set a screen as the main Home screen: Touch Main Home screen. The selected screen is displayed when you press the Home key.
    • Change the order of screens: Touch and hold the screen you want to move, and then drag it to a desired position.

App Shortcuts

Adding a Shortcut to a Home Screen

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch and hold an app shortcut, and then drag it to a Home screen.

  

Removing a Shortcut from a Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold the app shortcut you want to remove.

  2. Drag it to Remove and then release it.

    Removing a shortcut does not delete the app, it just removes the shortcut from the Home screen.

Widgets

Adding a Widget to a Home Screen

  1. Swipe to the Home screen you want to add a widget to and then touch and hold an empty space of the Home screen.

  2. Touch Widgets.

  3. Touch and hold the desired widget and then drag it to the desired position.

  4. To exit the edit mode, touch anywhere outside the widget.

   

Removing a Widget from a Home Screen

  1. From the Home screen, touch and hold the widget you want to remove.

  2. Drag the widget to Remove and then release it.

    Removing a widget does not delete the widget, it just removes the widget from the Home screen.

Folders

Adding a Folder to a Home Screen

  1. From the Home screen, touch and hold an app shortcut.

  2. Drag the shortcut on top of another app shortcut that you want to add to the folder, and then release.

  3. Enter a folder name.

  4. To select a color of the folder, touch the Palette.

  5. To exit the folder, touch anywhere outside the folder.

   

Removing a Folder from a Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold the folder you want to remove.

  2. Drag the folder to Remove and then release it.

  3. To confirm, touch DELETE.

Wallpaper

  1. Touch and hold an empty space of any Home screen.

  2. Touch Wallpapers.

  3. You can select a preloaded wallpaper or use an image from your Gallery. For this example, touch From Gallery.

  4. Apply the wallpaper to the Home screen, Lock screen, or Home and lock screens. For this example, touch Home screen.

  5. Touch the picture you want to use as the wallpaper.

  6. Touch SET AS WALLPAPER.
