Using Secure Folder on Your Galaxy Tab S3

Lock your private content and apps to enhance security. You must sign into your Samsung account in order to use Secure Folder. You must also set a secure lock for your device.

Set Up Secure Folder

  1. Navigate to Apps > Samsung folder.

  2. Touch Secure Folder.

  3. To read about what Secure Folder does, touch NEXT. For this example, touch SKIP.

  4. Review the disclaimer and then touch CONFIRM.

    A Samsung account is required to use Secure Folder.

  5. Choose the desired lock type. For this example, choose Pattern and then touch NEXT.

  6. Create a pattern by connecting at least four dots in vertical, horizontal, or diagonal directions. Lift your finger from the screen when finished and then touch CONTINUE.

  7. To confirm the pattern, re-draw the pattern and then touch CONFIRM.

Move Content to Secure Folder

With Secure Folder, you can hide pictures, videos, music, voice recordings, and other files saved to your device. After adding content to Secure Folder, touch the Lock icon to hide the content.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Gallery.

  2. Touch and hold the desired picture or album.

  3. Touch More Options.

  4. Touch Move to Secure Folder.

  5. Enter the credentials associated to the Secure Folder.

  6. To view private content in Secure Folder, navigate to Apps > Samsung Folder > Secure Folder.

  7. Touch Gallery.

  8. To move the picture out of Secure Folder, touch and hold the picture.

  9. Touch More Options.

  10. Touch Move out of Secure Folder.
