Replacing and Resetting the Water Filter on Your Family Hub Refrigerator

Samsung Family Hub Water Filter

Keep your ice and water tasting fresh by replacing the water filter. The filter indicator turns red to let you know it's time to replace the water filter.

WARNING
• Do not use third-party water filters. Use only Samsung-provided or approved filters.
• Unapproved filters may leak and damage the refrigerator, causing electric shock. Samsung is not responsible for any damage that may occur from use of third-party water filters.

Finding the Correct Water Filter

Select your model below to find the water filter that's specific to your fridge.

Removing and Installing the Water Filter

Replacing the filter can take less than a minute if you know what you're doing. Follow the guide below to replace your old filter.

  1. The Water filter is located between the bottom drawers in the fridge.

  2. Turn the filter counterclockwise.

  3. Pull out to remove the filter.

    Install a new filter by reversing the steps above.

Resetting the Water Filter Indicator

After changing the filter, reset the filter indicator to make sure you know when it's time for another replacement. 

  1. Navigate to and touch Fridge Manager.

  5. Review the messages and then touch Proceed on the next two steps.

    After replacing the filter, dispense 3-5 gallons of water and throw out the first few batches of ice to flush any impurities.
