Remove an Account on Your Galaxy J3 and J7

You can remove an account from your device if it is no longer in use or if you no longer want it associated with your device. After it has been removed, you will not have access to any of the data from the account. Have a new account you want to add? Learn how to add an account.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Remove a Samsung Account

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Accounts.  

  3. Touch Samsung Account.   

  4. Touch More Options.   

  5. Touch Remove account.   

  6. To confirm the removal, touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.   

  7. Touch OK to continue.

  8. Enter the password and then touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.   

Remove a Google Account

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Accounts.  

  3. Touch Google.   

  4. Touch More Options.

    If you have more than one Google account, touch the Google account that you would like to remove.

  5. Touch Remove account.   

  6. To confirm the removal, touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.   

Remove an Email Account

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Accounts.  

  3. Touch Email.   

  4. Touch More Options.

    If you have more than one email account, touch the email account that you would like to remove.

  5. Touch Remove account.   

  6. To confirm the removal, touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.
