Take Screenshots on Galaxy S6

Want to share a funny conversation with a friend? Screenshot it! You can snap a picture of your screen and save it as a photo.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Use Phone Keys to Capture a Screenshot

Want to capture what's on your screen? You got it!

  1. To capture a screenshot of the displayed screen, press and hold the Home and Power buttons simultaneously.

  2. When the screenshot is captured, the screen will zoom out as it makes a camera shutter like sound and the Screenshot icon will appear on the Notification bar.

View the Captured Screenshots

You can immediately view your screenshot in the Notification Panel. Screenshots can also be found in your Gallery.

  1. To view, edit, or share the screenshot directly from the Notification Panel, swipe down the Screenshot captured notification.

  2. To open the screenshot, touch the Screenshot captured notification.

  3. To view your screenshots at any time, navigate to Apps > Gallery.

Your Gallery consists of various sorting options (Time, Albums, Stories, Categories). If your sorting option is not set to Time, a Screenshots folder will appear automatically where you can access your screenshots.
