Remove an Account on Galaxy S6

Got an old account hanging around and you want it gone? Remove accounts that you don't use or want associated with your phone anymore. Just remember, you will not have access to any data from the account after it has been removed, so only do this if you're really, really sure. On the flip side, learn how to Add an Account!

Remove an Account

Did you start using a new email address? Remove your old account so you can keep up with your current contacts. We'll walk you through it step by step. 

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Cloud and accounts.  

  3. Touch Accounts.

  4. Touch the account you want to remove.   

  5. Touch More Options.   

  6. Touch Remove account.   

  7. To confirm the removal, touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.   

    Accounts may require you to input the account information ID and password.
