Changing the App Notifications on Your Galaxy S6 Active

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active App Notifications

Don't lose an important message notification in the massive cluster of never ending email and app notifications. You can adjust the notification settings for each one of your apps for a cleaner and more organized notification panel.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Block App Notifications

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Notifications.

  3. Touch ADVANCED.

  4. Touch the app you want to block.

  5. To block the notifications, touch the slider next to Allow notifications. All notifications, including sounds and vibrations, will be turned off for this app.

Set App Notifications as Priority

When your notification has been set to priority, the notifications will be displayed on your device at all times, even if the Do not disturb feature is turned on.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Notifications.

  3. Touch ADVANCED.

  4. Touch the app you want to set as priority.

  5. To set the app's notifications as priority, touch the slider next to Set as priority.  Notifications from this app will display at the top of the Notification Panel when Do not disturb is enabled.
