Adjust Art Mode Settings on The Frame TV

The Frame TV adjusts brightness and color tone automatically according to its surroundings. The sensor is located on the bottom of the Frame, so it can also be influenced by the color of the floor or a table that is below it. Using the Samsung Smart View app on a smart device, you can manually adjust the brightness and color tone of your Frame TV.

Before You Begin

  • The Frame and the mobile device must be connected to same network (router).

  • An up to date version of the Smart View app is required. 

    • For Android devices, version 2.1.0.75 is needed. 

    • For iOS devices, version 2.0.4.93 is needed. 

  • Verify the TV software version is above 1123 or higher.

Check the Frame TV's Software Version

  1. From the Home Screen on the TV, navigate to and select Settings

  2. Select Support.

  3. Select About This TV.

  4. Look for the line labeled Software Version. It will be located under Product Information, after the Model Code and the Serial Number. 

  5. If the software version is lower than 1123, update the software either over the network, or by USB.

Download the Smart View App on a Mobile Device

  • For Android devices, follow these steps. 

    1. Open the Play Store.

    2. Search for "Smart View".

    3. Install or update the app to the latest version.

  • For iOS devices, follow these steps. 

    1. Open the App Store.

    2. Search for "Smart View".

    3. Install or update the app to the latest version.

Using the Smart View App to Adjust the Settings in Art Mode

Pictures below were taken from an Android device. Steps in the Smart View app are the same for all mobile devices.

  1. Open the Smart View app.

  2. Select Samsung The Frame TV.

  3. Touch the Art Mode button located in the upper right corner. 

  4. Touch Settings.

  5. Adjust settings such as Art Mode's brightness and color tone.

    • Brightness - Adjust the brightness of the image when displayed full screen.

    • Color Tone - Adjust the color tone of the image when displayed full screen.

    • Sleep After - When enabled, The Frame turns off when no motion is detected, and turns on when motion is detected.

      The Sleep After time can be set from 15 minutes to 4 hours.

    • Night Mode - Set The Frame to turn off automatically if no light is detected in the room.

    • Motion Detector Sensitivity - Set The Frame to turn off automatically if no motion is detected in the room.

    • Sound Mirroring - Use Bluetooth to play audio from your device on The Frame.
