Wireless Charge for Galaxy S8 Active

Free yourself from tangled wires and limited mobility by turning on fast wireless charging. Your Galaxy S8 Active is compatible with wireless chargers approved by Samsung, which are sold separately.

Use only charging devices approved by Samsung. Samsung accessories are designed for your phone to maximize battery life. Using other accessories may invalidate your warranty and may cause damage.

Turn On Fast Wireless Charging

If you're using a fast wireless charger, you can use the option to turn on or off fast wireless charging by following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Battery.

  3. Touch More Options > Advanced settings.

  4. To turn on Fast wireless charging, touch the slider.

    Note: Fast wireless charging option is only available after using a fast wireless charger. If the wireless charger does not support fast wireless charging, this option will not be available.

Wireless Charging

When using wireless or fast charging, the phone and the charger may become hot while charging. This does not affect the phone's lifespan or performance and is in the phone's normal range of operation.

Now let's get to the good stuff. To charge your phone wirelessly, place it on top of the wireless charging station (not included).

The charger may stop charging if the battery becomes too hot.
