Use Multi Window on Galaxy Tab E

With the Tab E's Multi Window feature, multitasking has never been easier. Read an article while you keep an eye on the score of the playoffs game and voila! You're a multitasker extraordinaire!

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Use Multi Window

You are in the middle of watching a video and an important email comes in. Don’t panic; just use Multi Window to send a reply without interrupting the entertainment. Let’s get started.

  1. To access Multi window, touch Recent.

  2. To launch an app in split screen view, touch Multi window on the title bar.

  3. To open another app on a split screen, touch the second app from RECENTS or APP LIST. For this example, touch APP LIST.

  4. Touch the second app you want to open in split screen view. For this example, touch Chrome.

  5. To open the Multi window controller, touch Window controls. For more information, view the section below.

Window Controls

Imagine being able to jam out to your favorite song while you browse your favorite news site. Now you can, with Multi Window. Once you have Multi Window open, here’s how to navigate the controls:

    A. Switch windows: Switch locations between Multi window apps.

    B. Close app: Close the selected app.

Exit Multi Window

To go back to the way things were, follow these steps:

  1. To exit Multi window, touch Window controls.

  2. Touch Close to close the selected window.

    Note: Pressing the Home button does not close Multi window. You can go back to Split screen view by touching the Mulit window notification from the Notification panel or you can close Multi window by touching Close.
