Disable Auto Rotate on Your Galaxy Tab A (New)
When switching between viewing a panoramic photo or reading a listicle, the Tab A (New) has a built-in feature that automatically rotates your screen to adjust to your needs. Auto Rotate uses an internal sensor to detect which way your tablet is rotating and then adjusts your screen accordingly. The feature is turned on by default but can be adjusted at any time, if you wish.
OK, sometimes you just want to get a better look at that photo without your tablet tilting on you. No worries. While Auto Rotate is enabled by default, you can always turn it off.
To open the Notification Panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.
To turn off the rotation, touch the Auto Rotate icon in the Quick Settings Panel.
Note: Depending on the screen orientation when touching Auto rotate, the icon changes the screen to either Landscape or Portrait.
