TV App Troubleshooting

Samsung Smart TVs are loaded with many popular apps like Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video, Hulu, Vudu, and HBO. If you have an issue with any app, it always helps to powercycle your TV and make sure your TV's firmware is up to date. For further troubleshooting, check out the guide below.

Netflix

If Netflix is acting up, it usually has to do with the app itself. The easiest way to fix this is to reset the app.

To reset Netflix, navigate to and select Settings or the Gear icon in the app. Select Get Help > Reload Netflix. Your Netflix app will then automatically reset without signing you out or deleting anything on your Queue.

Several issues can also be resolved by simply signing out and back in.

To sign out, scroll all the way up and select Settings. The Sign Out option will be available in the menu on the right. Close the app, reopen, and then enter your credentials to sign back in.

If Netflix is still giving you trouble, contact Netflix for support.

Prime Video

Prime Video can't be uninstalled from the TV. So first, you should try powercycling the TV and testing the network, but then  you should Sign out and Sign back into the app. 

To sign out, select Settings, from the left menu, and then select Deregister your Device. Close the app, reopen, and then enter your credentials to sign back in.

If you are still having issues you can use the Feedback entry in the Settings menu or visit Prime Video for further support.

Hulu

Hulu also can't be uninstalled from your TV, so If you are having any issues, the best thing to do after powercycling your TV, and testing your network, is to sign out of the app and sign back in.

To sign out, select your account from the top menu and then select LOGOUT. Then close the app, reopen and enter your credentials to sign back in.

If you are still having problems, you can use the HELP CENTER entry in your account menu or visit Hulu for further support.

All Other Apps

Recommended Apps can't be uninstalled.

If you are having trouble with any app and you have powercycled your TV and the firmware is up to date, try testing your network since network speeds cause the most issues, especially when streaming video.

If that doesn’t work, the next step is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Navigate to the APPS section of Smart Hub and select Settings or Options. Select Delete to uninstall the app. Then search for the app and Install it again.

Finally, if the problem is not resolved, visit the app website for further support.
