Well, this TV has worked out great!  The quality, resolution, brightness and size of the TV is all I will ever need.  Don't let anyone tell you the screen size 98" inch is too big, not a chance, perfect size.  It's not overwhelming and even though it does take a good percentage of the wall (recommend it gets wall mounted), it's not unreasonable.  I have my sofa positioned between 10 and 15 feet back, excellent.  I also added LED motion multi-color lights to the back of the TV for ambiance, wow, very nice at night when you want the full effect.  I highly recommend this TV and the 98" size, you won't regret it.

Why would I review when I trusted Samsung to do right since I was out of town. Only to come and see that they knowingly mounted a damaged product. Don't tell me it's the 3rd party, Best Buy. When I bought it, I bought it from Samsung. You are responsible for the work your own vendors do.

Knowingly Deceitful

I purchased this TV for my media room on 6/8/24.
The picture was great and offered many great streaming options.
I wish there were more than 3 HDMI inputs as I would like to connect more devices.
On 9/19/25, after the warranty expired, the screen started to pixelate when using most applications.  Shortly after the tv stopped turning on at all.  I had the two boards replaced in the tv and it turned back on.  Unfortunately, the screen now has a black section in the middle with a red and green lines.
I'm a big supporter of Samsung products and will only use Samsung phones.  It's sad that the tv lasted only a short time.

The 98" TV had a great picture

The size and image quality are impressive! Or were… for the 2 weeks the TV worked. Then, hell after that:
1) first, the TV turned on by itself, at maximum volume, 2am in the morning 
The crazy on/off on its own continued. I called Sam’s Ng service who walked me through several attempts to fix the problem: none worked. Then the technician decided to walk me thorough a factory reset 
2) after a factory reset, TV will no longer pair with remote control 

I now have a 98” brick in my living room. And the service center is refusing to service it (in the country I moved to: Brazil) despite of Samsung claiming to have international warranty on premium TVs. 

Very disappointing.

Focusing on the Product.  I must say I am very pleased with my 98” Class Crystal UHD DU9000.  It has delivered in all of the areas for which I made the purchase.  Brightness and Resolution are great for movies.  I had some concerns about motion for sports but they were quickly put to rest.  I am glad I was able to make the purchase when I did definitely a good choice.

Great Choice for Movie watchers

After a couple month the TV started to show some defects on the screen and the support department is saying that is physically damaged, but if that is true it happened from factory and now they do not want to exchange it for a new one, this is absurd and sad. After many years of using Samsung products, never again!!! I have been robed blind, so beware that Samsung will not take responsibility for a defective product and will blame you with a bad excuse. Even worst Samsung technicians came to my home and verified is was not physically damaged but still Samsung will continue to say it was.

Our whole family is overly impressed with our new Samsung 98” Class DU9000 Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV.  My husband and I loved that the setup was super quick and easy.  We can't get over how great the picture quality.  It's crisp and you literally feel like you're apart of what's on the screen.  It's great for watching TV and playing video games... My son loves playing video games on the PlayStation and it's so much more realistic than previous TV's.  Also, the built-in sound system is incredibly good!  You get the sound effects of a movie theatre from the comfort of your own home.  We can't wait to watch the Super Bowl on it.  One thing that really surprisesld us was for the size of the TV it wasn't very heavy.
