Samsung gives consumers a well-deserved festive offer by simply making a purchase

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 30 October, 2015 – As we approach the festive season of the year, Samsung Electronics South Africa has announced an in-store promotion that is rewarding consumers with an unique holiday. What makes this campaign different is that consumers are guaranteed a reward with the purchase of selected refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers or air conditioners*.

“The campaign is designed to thank our consumers for their continued support and loyalty to Samsung. We appreciate the trust they place in us and are excited to reward consumers during the season of giving,” says Michael McKechnie, Head of Digital Appliances at Samsung Electronics SA.

Every consumer who purchases participating Samsung home appliance will receive a guaranteed reward. There are three reward tiers which will determine the experience that consumers are entitled to.

Gold Tier:
4 Domestic return flights on British Airways (operated by Comair) or a weekend away for two at an African Pride Hotel valued at R12 000 for buying selected refrigerators.

Silver Tier:
2 Domestic return flights on British Airways (operated by Comair) or a weekend away for two at a Protea Hotel Fire & Ice valued at R7 000 for the purchase of selected refrigerators or washing machines.

Blue Tier: 
1 Domestic return flight on British Airways (operated by Comair) or a weekend away for two at a Protea Hotel valued at R4 000 when purchasing selected refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers or air conditioners.

To receive their experience, consumers need to follow a simple process:

1.   Purchase a qualifying product and retain the proof of purchase;
2.   SMS the Samsung product model code to 33230 before 31 December 2015 to claim the reward (SMS cost R1.50);
3.   A return SMS will provide a link to the reward redemption website. Complete the online form and upload the proof of purchase and a photograph of the serial number on the product; and 
4.   Once the entry has been verified, consumers will receive a reward registration PIN code via SMS along with the number of the Samsung Concierge Service in order to book their reward.

“It isn’t often that a consumer gets a free holiday when they buy a participating home appliance. This promotion is different from anything we have done before and we believe it will give them a memorable experience this festive season. Samsung truly values its customers and this is our way of giving back and showing our appreciation,” concludes McKechnie.

The campaign runs from 01 November until 31 December 2015 at any participating retailer.
