How Do I connect my Android or iOS device to my Samsung Family Hub Fridge Freezer?

Connecting your Android or iOS device to your Family Hub Fridge Freezer

 

Before you begin:

You will need to download the Samsung Smart Home app onto your Android or iOS device.  app icon

You will also need the Wi-Fi details and password that you usually use to connect to the Internet.

 

Follow the below steps in turn to connect your Family Hub to your device

 

1. Connect in the Samsung Smart Home app

 


1. Open the Samsung Smart Home app on your Android or iOS device.

 

If you do not have this on your device, it is available to download in Samsung Galaxy apps, the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.

2. Use the > signs to scroll to, then select Refrigerator

 

Select Fridge 

 

3. You will now see one of the below screens confirming the next steps.

 

If you have an iOS device, you will see a password on this screen. Make sure you make a note of this as you will need it later.

2. Open the connection on your Family Hub Fridge Freezer

 

1. On the main screen of your Family Hub, choose Settings

2. Choose Easy Connection

3. Choose Connect

 

Once you have tapped Connect, you will need to complete the connection on your Android or iOS device.

3.1 Complete connection (Android)

 

1. You will now be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi details, including password on your Android device. Once done, tap Next

2.  Your Android device will now be connected to your Family Hub Fridge Freezer.

 

You will now be able to use the Samsung Smart Home app to view the internal contents of your Family Hub when you are out and about, send pictures, access your shopping list and leave messages.

3.2 Complete connection (iOS)

 

1. Press the home button on your device

3. Select Refrigerator under Wi-Fi

4. Enter the password you were given in the Smart Home app, then select Join

5. Open your Smart Home app, enter the Wi-Fi details that you use to connect to the Internet, then tap Next

6. Your device will now be connected and you will see the below message on your Family Hub screen.

 

Final message 

 

You will now be able to use the Samsung Smart Home app to view the internal contents of your Family Hub when you are out and about, send pictures, access your shopping list and leave messages.
