Galaxy Tab S3: How Do I pair my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3(SM-T820) to a Bluetooth device?

Bluetooth


Bluetooth pairing is a one-time process that establishes trusted connections between your phone and other Bluetooth devices. Once paired, the devices will connect automatically without having to re-enter a passcode.

Connect to a Bluetooth device from Settings


Important: Before turning on the Bluetooth feature on your mobile device, make sure the Bluetooth feature is active on the Bluetooth device you are trying to connect to. Some Bluetooth device required to be set into pairing mode before connecting it to another device (see the user manual for more information).

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Appli.

2. Touch Settings Parametres.

3. Touch Connections if required. Then, touch Bluetooth.

4. Touch the slider OFF to turn on ON Bluetooth.

5. Select the device you want to connect to.

Important: If the device you are trying to connect to is not displayed on the list, make sure it is in pairing mode. You only need to activate Bluetooth for your Samsung device to be paired but some Bluetooth devices require an extra step, such as entering pairing mode, to establish a Bluetooth connection. Please refer to the user manual of the other device if you have any issue.

6. Confirm the passkey by touching OK.

7. The device you selected to pair with will now appear under Paired devices:

Connect to a Bluetooth device from the notifications panel

1. To open the notifications panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2. To turn on Bluetooth, touch Bluetooth.

3. Select the device you want to connect to.

5. The device you selected to pair with will now appear under Paired devices. Touch DONE to close the pop-up window.

Disconnect from a Bluetooth device using Settings


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Appli.

2. Touch Connections if required. Then, touch the slider ON to turn off OFF Bluetooth.

Disconnect from a Bluetooth device using the notifications panel


1. To open the notifications panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2. To turn off Bluetooth, touch Bluetooth.

Unpair from a Bluetooth device using Settings


Note: When you unpair from a Bluetooth device, the two devices no longer recognize each other.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Appli.

2. Touch Settings Parametres.

3. Touch Connections if required. Then, touch Bluetooth.

4. Touch the Settings icon next to the paired device you want to unpair.
