How Do I Play Music using Kies 2.6?
You can play music stored on your connected device or play music you have added to your Kies library. Kies can play the following music file formats: 3GA, AMR, ASF, FLAC, MP3, MP4, OGG, WAV, and WMA.
Play Music on a Connected Device
To play music stored on a device connected to Kies, click Music below the device's name in the left panel. Double-click the song you want to play. You can play only one song at a time when playing music stored on your device, and only the Play and Pause buttons are accessible.
Play Music from the Kies Library
You can play the songs you have added to your Kies library. Click Music below Library in the left panel, and then click Play . If you want to start listening to a specific song, double-click the song.
|Rewind: Click to rewind to the previous song.|
|Play: Click to play the songs in your library.|
|Pause: Click to pause the song being played.|
|Fast Forward: Click to skip to the next song.|
|No Repeat: Selected songs will be played until each song has been played once.|
|Repeat All: Kies will continue to play the selected song(s) until you click Pause or exit Kies.|
|Repeat Track: The current song will be repeated until you click Pause or exit Kies.|
|Shuffle Off: The songs selected will be played in the order they are listed.|
|Shuffle On: The songs selected will be played in random order.|
|Volume Control: Click to adjust the volume of the music being played.|
NOTE: If you do not see the device's name or Library in the left panel, you may be running Kies in Lite mode. Click View > Switch Mode > Normal Mode, or click the mode shortcut in the top-right corner of the window to return Kies to "normal" mode.
You can sort music in Kies 2.6 in list view and thumbnail view. Each view has its own sorting function. Click Music below your device name or Library in the left panel.
Sort in List View
Click to switch to list view. Click a column header to sort music using the information stored in the column. For example, click Title to sort your music by the song title. Click Title again to reverse the sort order.

Sort in Thumbnail View
NOTE: Thumbnail view is only available for music listed in your library.
Click to switch to thumbnail view. When viewing music using the thumbnail view, three views are available to you. Similar songs will be grouped together based on the tab you choose. Click a tab to view your music by Albums, Artists, or Genre. When using the thumbnail view, you can adjust the size of the thumbnails using the slider . Click and drag the slider to the right to increase the thumbnail size, or click and drag it to the left to decrease the thumbnail size.
Using ID3 Tags (Song Info)
You can add and manage ID3 tags for each of your songs. To add or manage the ID3 tags for a song:
1. Click Music in the left panel under Library.
NOTE: f you do not see Library in the left panel, you may be running Kies in Lite mode. Click View > Switch Mode > Normal Mode, or click the mode shortcut in the top-right corner of the window to return Kies to "normal" mode.
2. Right-click the song you want to manage the ID3 tags for.
3. Click Properties.
4. Click the Information tab.
5. You can edit the following ID3 tags for each song:

NOTE: Kies 2.6 is only available for use on a Windows® platform.
