What do all the different notification light colours mean on my Galaxy Note2?

The LED indicator notifies you of a missed Notification, Low battery, when the device is Charging, and when you are Voice recording. The following are the types of events and their associated colours:

  • Blue:
    • Pulses in multi-color blue while the device is turning On or Off.
    • Blinks blue for a missed call, message or other notification.
    • Blinks blue when you are voice recording.
  • Red:
    • Glows red when the device is connected to a charger and is charging.
    • Blinks red when the device is connected to a charger but there is a problem with charging.
    • Blinks red when the battery is low.
  • Green:
    • Glows green when the device is connected to a charger and the battery is fully charged.

Follow these steps to edit the types of events of which your device notifies you:

1. When on the Home screen touch the Menu key Menu key. 

2. Touch Settings Shortcut Settings.


3. Touch LED indicator (you may need to touch the My Device tab GS4 My Device Icon first).


4. Mark the events about which you would like your device to notify you.


Note: The LED will light up only when the screen is off.
