What is Emergency Mode and how Do I use it on my Galaxy A3?

Emergency mode enables you to extend your device’s standby time when you are in an emergency situation and you want your device to conserve power to extend its standby time for as long as possible. 


When this mode is activated the screen’s brightness will decrease and some of the device's functionality will be limited in order to conserve your battery's charge.


The home screen will be changed to a black theme to reduce battery consumption. You will be able to use the Phoneapp to make a call to a specified contact and also to make emergency calls. You can also turn on the flash and sound alarms and send your location information to others in a message.


Follow the steps below to activate and use Emergency mode:


Press and hold the power button - tap emergency mode 


1. Press and hold the Power button. 
(Alternatively, on the Apps screen, tap SettingsSafety Assistance Emergency mode and then drag the Emergency mode switch to the right.)


2. Tap Enable Emergency mode.


Accept the Terms and Conditions and tap enable. 

3. You need to accept the Terms and Conditions to use this function for the first  time. The Popup for Emergency mode is displayed and Tap Enable.


Emergency mode is now activated 

4. The color of screen changes to grey scale and limited the number of usable applications and battery consumption is reduced by restricting some features.
