How to reset my 2016 Samsung TV

To perform a Factory Reset on your Samsung TV, follow these steps:

Warning: When you perform a Factory Reset, all your settings revert to factory default. These settings include all picture and sound settings, all channel menu settings (including memorised channels), all clock and timer settings, and any other settings you made through the menu. In addition, if you had your TV professionally calibrated, you may lose the calibration settings if the calibration was not done through the service menu.

■ If you simply want to reset one of the settings on TV (i.e. picture or sound) please refer to your TV's user manual for steps on how to reset the individual settings of your TV.

Factory reset however will not affect your Network Settings. Network settings can only be changed manually.

Note: Depending on the model of your TV, the Menu screen may look different from the images below, but the steps for resetting it are almost the same. 



Step 1: Using your TV’s remote press the Home home Button.

Step 2: Go to Settings.





Step 3: Select Support.




Step 4: Choose Self Diagnosis.

Step 5: Select Reset.




Step 6: Enter your TV’s 4 digit PIN, then select Done at the lower part of the screen. If you have not changed this, the default PIN will be 0000.





Step 7: Choose Yes.

Step 8: Select OK to finish the reset. Your TV will restart automatically.
