How do I extend the battery life of the Samsung device when the battery drains fast?
If your Samsung Galaxy phone's battery is draining quickly, follow these steps to check the issue and determine if a replacement is needed.
Ensure you're using a Samsung-approved charger. Unapproved chargers or cables can damage the battery and void your warranty.
Old chargers may not supply enough power to newer devices, leading to slower or incomplete charging.
Make sure the charger's output matches your device’s charging requirements. Different models may need different charging currents.
While charging, close all running apps and disable mobile data or Wi-Fi to reduce battery drain.
- Activate Power Saving Mode to conserve battery by limiting background activity and reducing performance.
If battery drain persists, enable Safe Mode to identify if third-party apps are causing the issue:
- Power off and restart the device.
- Hold the volume-down key when the Samsung logo appears until the lock screen shows.
- "Safe Mode" will appear in the lower-left corner.
- Monitor battery consumption for 2-3 hours. To exit Safe Mode, simply restart the device.

- By activating the safe mode, we have just disabled the third-party application, and no data has been lost. You may need to keep an eye on the device for 2-3 hours and watch the battery consumption if the issue is solved or not.
