Automatically fill your water pitcher in your Samsung fridge
Experts say you should drink about 2 liters of water every day. But what if you don't like plain water or just get tired of it after a while? The Auto Water Fill feature on select Samsung fridges lets you add flavor to your water with fruit infusions or even brew cold iced tea in your refrigerator. Even without that, it's a handy way to have a small pitcher of cool water.
Note: The Auto Fill Water Pitcher is not dishwasher safe and only comes with select refrigerator models.
Fill the water pitcher
Remove the Auto Fill Water Pitcher from the holder and open the lid.
If you'd like, you can place some tea bags or fruit into the infuser.
Reinsert the Auto Fill Water Pitcher into its spot in the fridge.
Depending on the fridge model you have, the steps for turning on Auto Water Fill will be different. You'll also need to make sure that the Auto Water Fill feature is turned on.
On regular fridges: To turn it on, touch and hold Auto Water Fill on the control panel until ON lights up. On some models, this is a secondary function of the Fridge button and is called Autofill Pitcher (3 sec). To activate it, just touch and hold the Fridge button for 3 seconds. To use any functions on the control panel, you will first need to turn off Control Lock.
On Family Hub fridges: You can enable the Auto Water Fill feature using the Family Hub's panel. Tap Apps, and then tap Fridge Manager. Tap Fridge Settings, and then tap Auto Water Fill.
Close the door. The pitcher will start to automatically fill with water.
Note: If your pitcher or the filling process is not working or leaking, see our troubleshooting guides for more information.
