Check if your SmartThings Hub is up to date

SmartThings will occasionally push firmware updates to Hubs to improve their performance and keep things running smoothly. Fortunately, checking your SmartThings Hub's firmware version is easy to do. You will just need to open the SmartThings app to find the correct information.

Check the firmware version

Note: Whenever you want to see details about your SmartThings Hub, like its firmware version or Hub ID, you can find them in the Hub's menu on your phone.

1 Navigate to and open the SmartThings app.

2 Tap the Home icon, and then select the location with your SmartThings hub.

3 Tap the Devices tab (at the bottom of the screen), swipe left or right until you find your hub, and then select it from the list of devices.

4 Tap the More options icon (the three vertical dots), and then tap Information.

5 Here you can check the firmware version of your SmartThings Hub.
