[Windows 10] What to do if the Camera app is not working on PC (Hong-Kong version)

If the Camera app is not working correctly, you can solve the problem using the methods below.

 

[Method 1] Solving problems with Microsoft apps

If you have a problem with an app from the Microsoft Store, you may be able to solve the problem by updating the app on the Microsoft Store.

1 Click the [Start] button on the taskbar, then find and open the [Microsoft Store].

2 Click the [three dots] at the upper right of the Store, then open [Downloads and updates].

3 Click [Get updates] to get the update(s).
Automatic installation begins.

If you have a problem with an app from the Microsoft Store, you may be able to solve the problem by deleting and then reinstalling the app.

1 Click the [Start] button on the taskbar, then find unused apps and right-click to [delete] them.

2 Click [Uninstall] to remove the apps.

3 Click the [Start] button on the taskbar, then find and open the [Microsoft Store].

4 Click the [three dots] at the upper right of the Store, then open [My Library].

5 Find the app you want to reinstall and click [Install] to install it.

If you have a problem with an app from the Microsoft Store, you may be able to solve the problem by restoring or resetting the app.

1 Click the [Start] button on the taskbar, and then click [Settings].

2 Click [Apps].

3 In [Apps & features], find the app that isn't working and then go to [Advanced options].

4 Under App reset, click [Repair].
※ This option may not be available for some apps, and if the problem continues to occur even after restoring the app, click [Reset].

[Method 2]

1 On the taskbar, click the Start button and then open [Settings].
2 Click [Update & security].

3 In [Windows Update], click [Check for updates] to see what updates are available and then update.

[Method 3]

1 Click the Start button on the taskbar, and then click [Settings].

3 In the [Camera] tab, turn [Allow apps to access your camera] [On].
