Warranty Information

Samsung provides one year free carry-in repair service, including parts and labor for the computer.

If customers want to extend the warranty service, they can:

  1. Within 6 months after the purchase date, they can enjoy the carry-in warranty (HK) service in the 2nd and 3rd year at Samsung Customer Service Center by paying additional HK$699.
  2. After 6 months upon the purchase date, they can enjoy the carry-in warranty (HK) service in the 2nd year at Samsung Customer Service Center by paying additional HK$800. (Goods checking is needed)

Samsung accepts goods exchange for more than Five dead pixels found on the panel within seven days from date of purchase.

The warranty covers the battery pack for 6 months only.

Customer must present the original Warranty Card together with original purchase invoice to Samsung's technician for verification when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced.

Customer is responsible for delivering and collecting the Computer at his/her own cost when carry-in repaired service is requested.

This warranty covers hardware only. Accessories such as connection cables, the CD and the floppy disks are excluded in the warranty.

Samsung does not provide warranty for any preloaded or bundled software. Samsung reserves all rights to make the final judgement on evaluating the malfunction or breakdown of the computer caused from software or hardware.

Samsung is not obligated to re-install preloaded software. Handling fee will be charged for the request of re-installation service.

Replacement parts assume the remaining warranty of the parts they replace.

The warranty service is offered to the computer which has defect caused under normal use, in the judgement of Samsung's technician. The warranty is null and void under the following circumstances:

    (a) if the computer has been damaged through abuse, misuse, negligence (such as bumping, wetting), fault voltage supply(such as compatible battery), air/water pollution accidents and natural calamities;

    (b) if the computer, included hardware and preloaded software, has been modified, altered and/or repaired by persons other than Samsung or Samsung's authorized service centers:

    (c) if the serial number has been altered, effaced or removed;

The defective part should go with the whole unit in case of repair.

Any detective part which has been replaced, shall be Samsung's property.

The warranty service is offered to the computer which has defect caused under normal use, in the judgement of Samsung's technician. The warranty is null and void under the following circumstances:

    (a) if the computer has been damaged through abuse, misuse, negligence (such as bumping, wetting), fault voltage supply(such as compatible battery), air/water pollution accidents and natural calamities;

    (b) if the computer, included hardware and preloaded software, has been modified, altered and/or repaired by persons other than Samsung or Samsung's authorized service centers:

    (c) if the serial number has been altered, effaced or removed;

Customer should backup his/her own hard disk contents of his/her own accord before repair. Samsung shall not provide hard disk backup service.

In case of repair, hard disk content may be destroyed and customer will not be informed in advance. Samsung shall not be liable for any data, records or program lost due to repair.

Samsung shall only honor the warranty card issued by Samsung.

No warranty card or supplementary copy will be issued in case of damage or lost. Samsung reserves the right to charge the customer for new issue.

In case of warranty service required overseas, customer is responsible to deliver the computer to Samsung Service Centre in Hong Kong on his/her own account. Samsung shall be responsible for delivering the computer back to customer, after repair, by courier services, excluding any duties, taxes or levies.

Registration for the carry-in warranty(China) service

If you, the customer, want to enjoy the benefits of the One-Year carry-in warranty(China) service, you must bring the documents listed below to the Samsung Imagine shop or the Customer Service Center in Macau for warranty registration.

    (a) Original purchase invoice (Bought on or after July 21st 2007)

    (b) The completed International Product Warranty Card

    (c) The completed Product Warranty Card (China) *

Registration for the carry-in warranty(China) service

If you are a Hong Kong customer wishing to utilize the benefits of the warranty(China) service, you must go to a Customer Service Center that has been approved domestically and show the two documents listed below:

    (a) China Warranty Card (Red)

    (b) Original purchase invoice

Samsung provides one year free carry-in repair service, including parts and labor for the computer.

Global Warranty System (GWS)

Warranty Repair Service will be provided by samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. as required during Warranty period.

Global Warranty Policy

  1. The GWS service only applies to the global Samsung appointed service center (ASC) district.
  2. Only products that are subject to GWS, and are within the guarantee period apply.
  3. When the mobile PC is damaged (outside of the region purchased), please contact and receive repair services from the local SAMSUNG appointed service center (ASC). Since the repair methods may be different for products purchased locally, please check with the local ASC.
  4. Consultations made locally (outside of the region purchased) can be given in the local language.
  5. Whether a product can or cannot be fixed will be determined after a thorough examination, and the damaged product may not be repaired to its original state, as circumstances may dictate.
  6. When a product cannot be repaired locally (outside of the region purchased) please contact the national SAMSUNG appointed service center for further enquiries.
  7. If only warranty provided under GWS is repair where reasonably praticable, replacement or credit is not supported under this scheme.
  8. The lenght of time needed to obtain spare parts may depend on the type of part, and in some cases may not be replaceable.
  9. Accessories (such as the battery) or the AC cable, are excluded from the warranty.
  10. The User's Guide, drivers, and the operating system will not be provided and are not purchasable locally (outside of the region purchased).
  11. Software and operation system consultation and repair services will not be provided. When moving abroad (outside of the region purchased), please ensure that the Recovery CD, Software CD, and the User's Guide are taken along as well.
  12. All costs arising from customs duties when moving abroad (outside of the region purchased) are the user's responsibility.
  13. Malfuntions and damages caused by the user's abuse and neglect, or through other circumstances such as fire, earthquakes, floods, lightning, natural disasters, environmental pollution, and abnormal electricity currents will not be covered by the warranty. All other circumstances are subject to conditions in the warranty.

      (a) Any unauthorized repair or modification has been carried out on the unit, or

      (b) It has been damaged through misuse, negligence accident, insects or natural calamities, or

      (c) It has been installed, maintained or operated other than in accordance with the instructions furnished by Samsung.

  6. Samsung will not be liable for any loss directly or indirectly caused from breakdown of the equipment.
  7. All warranty will only be valid if the product was purchased in Hong Kong SAR or Macau SAR (Valid regional Product Warranty Card is attached in the product package).
  8. Samsung reverses the right to make the final decision.

Service Policy / Warranty

Service Policy / Warranty

  1. For any defect, in the judgment of our technicians, caused under normal usage, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS H.K. COMPANY LIMITED (hereinafter known as the “Company”) is responsible for repairing and replacing parts free of charge within the warranty period (except accessories and certain parts), commencing from the date of purchase. Any replaced defective parts will become the Company's property.
  2. The warranty periods of specific products are as follows :

      (a) Television: Full warranty covers 3 years.

      (b) Washing machine: Full warranty covers 2 years. (For DD Motor or digital inverter motor model, the motor is warranted for 10 years).

      (c) Refrigerator: Full warranty covers 3 years. The compressor of refrigerator are warranted for 5 years (For digital inverter compressor model, the compressor is warranted for 10 years).

      (d) Vacuum cleaner: Full warranty covers 1 year.

      (e) Wine cellar: Full warranty covers 1 year.

      (f) Microwave oven: Full warranty covers 1 year.

      (g) Blu-ray player: Full warranty covers 1 year. The laser pick up is warranted for 6 months.

      (h) Home theater: Full warranty covers 1 year. The laser pick up is warranted for 6 months.

      (i) 3D Glasses: Full warranty covers 1 year.

  3. Free warranty service does not cover the following items :

      (a) Water pipe or hose extension and replacement of faucet of washing machine.

      (b) Renewal and replacement of cabinet, chassis, front panel, cosmetic items and accessories.

      (c) Dismantling, removal and re-installation of any repairing product installed at a location higher than 7 ft. (from the floor), or at any difficult working place.

      (d) Re-installation, removal, relocation or transportation of the product.

  4. Company will not be liable for any problem, damage or loss due to improper installation of the product not installed by us.
  5. This warranty is invalid in the following cases :

      (a) If the product has been damaged out of misuse, negligence, accident and natural disaster.

      (b) If the product has been repaired, modified by persons other than SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS H.K. COMPANY LIMITED.

      (c) If the serial number has been altered, effaced and/or removed.

      (d) Fail to follow the installation instructions provided.

      (e) Machines for commercial use.

  6. The Company will not be liable for any loss directly or indirectly caused from breakdown of the equipment.
  7. For small or portable appliance, customer will be required to bring the product to and from our service centre whenever service is required.
  8. Samsung reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to use any refurbished (instead of brand-new) components for providing warranty, repairing and maintenance services and charge Samsung's customers such component fees (with prior quotation).
  9. All warranty will only be valid if the product was purchased in Hong Kong SAR or Macau SAR (Valid regional product warranty card is attached in the product package).
  10. For Hong Kong SAR outlying islands service, travelling fee will be charged and customer will be responsible for the travelling fee charged. In the case workshop service is needed, customer will be responsible for the back and forth transportation of the products to and from our service centre.
  11. Please keep and present this warranty card together with the official purchase invoice to our technicians for inspection during each service.
  12. Company accepts goods exchange for more than three dead pixels found on the LED TV / LCD TV panel within seven days from date of purchase, while company also accepts goods exchange for more than five dead pixels found on the 75" or above TV panel within seven days from date of purchase. In case of any disputes. Company reserves the right to make the final decision.

Service Policy / Warranty

Samsung provides one year local on-site repair service, including parts and labour for the Printer.

Customer must present the original Warranty Card together with original purchase invoice to Samsung's technician for verification when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced.

This warranty covers hardware only. Accessories such as Toner, Cartridge, Drum Cartridge, Waste Toner Tank, ITB Unit are excluded in the warranty.

Samsung does not provide warranty for any preloaded or bundled software. Samsung reserves all rights to make the final judgement on evaluating the malfunction or breakdown of the Printer caused from software or hardware.

Samsung is not obligated to re-install preloaded software. Handling fee will be charged for the request of re-installation service.

The warranty service is offered to the Printer which has defect caused under normal use, in the judgement of Samsung's technician. The warranty is null and void under the following circumstances :

    (a) if the Printer has been damaged through abuse, misuse, negligence (such as bumping, wetting), fault voltage supply, air/water pollution accidents and natural calamities;

    (b) if the Printer, included hardware and preloaded software, has been modified, altered and/or repaired by persons other than Samsung or Samsung's authorized service centers;

    (c) if the serial number has been altered, effaced or removed.

    (d) if using non-Samsung toner or non-genuine consumable.

The defective part should go with the whole unit in case of repair.

Any defective part which has been replaced, shall be Samsung's property.

Under no circumstances is Samsung liable for loss directly or indirectly for any of the following :

    (a) third-party claims against you for losses or damages;

    (b) loss or damage to your records, information or data;

    (c) economic consequential damages including lost profits.

Service Policy / Warranty

Please note that the following terms and conditions must be carefully read prior to the signing of this receipt:

  1. For handset and adapter defects under normal circumstances and at the discretion of the Company, free of charge repair service shall be provided by the Company within one year commencing on the date of invoice.
  2. Handset battery is warranted for six months from the date of invoice.
  3. Ear Microphone is warranted for three months from the date of invoice.
  4. During the warranty period, Samsung official products shall subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement be repaired free of charge.
  5. During the warranty period, no free of charge repair service shall be provided in the event of violation of terms and conditions in this Agreement, such as self repairs, exposure to water, damage caused by misuse, alternation, failure to comply with product manual, etc. In this case repair changes shall be separately quoted by the repair service center or no repairs service will be provided.
  6. In addition to the necessary spare parts changes, a non-refundable service fee will be imposed in advance to all non-official products, out-of-warranty products or warranty label is broken or missing products. An official quotation will be notified by our repair center in due course.
  7. All warranty will only be valid if the product was purchased in Hong Kong SAR or Macau SAR (Valid regional Product Warranty Card is attached in the product package).
  8. Customer should retain and present the original invoice for every warranty service.
  9. If the customer fails to present the original invoice, the products will be treated as non-warranty case.
  10. All spare parts changed in products services by the repair service center shall be covered by one month from the date when the repairs are completed free warranty service (limited to same defect not caused by user).
  11. All spare parts changed are non-refundable. All Data* stored in electronics products (included handsets, digital camera, MP3 player and notebook PC) may be lost or deleted after the repair and thus should be properly backup by the customers beforehand.
  12. Under normal circumstances, accessories, such as battery, SIM card, SD card etc. shall not be kept by the repair service centers.
  13. The repair service center shall not be responsible for any delay caused by the failure of communication with the customers. Customers please leave valid contact numbers in our records.
  14. Customers shall collect their products within 3 months after being notified by the repair service centers. Otherwise, we shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to their products that left unclaimed after three months. If the products are not collected within 6 months from sure notifications, the service center shall have the right to dispose of the products at its own discretion and without any compensation.
  15. The service order should be kept as proof for collection of products. In the case of loss of receipt and products being taken by others, it is not the responsibility of this repair service center. If no original receipt is provided, the service center shall have the right to refuse delivery of the product.
  16. For products with invisible defects, if customers request to take back their products after inspection and repair quotation is made, the repair service center may not be able to restore the products back to the original defective status (including product frame, function and original defects.)
  17. For products not covered by warranty, if customers are found to have violated their terms and conditions of the Repair Service Agreement (such as self-repairs, exposure to water, damage caused by misuse, etc.), no fixed charge repair service shall be given and separate quotation for defects in question shall be applied.
  18. The service center shall have the right not to provide any written or oral report in relation to the repairing services or the defects of the products.
  19. This repairing service only includes the hardware of the product, accessories such as earphones, connecting cables, compact discs and DVDs, etc are not included in the service.
  20. Before delivering your product for warranty service please keep a separate backup copy of your information and disable any security passwords. All data will be deleted from the product during repairs. Samsung is not responsible or liable for any data stored on the product that is lost, deleted, or is otherwise inaccessible.
  21. Samsung does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the product, and is not under any obligation to support the product for all operating environments, including but not limited to, interoperability with all current and/or future versions of software or hardware.
  22. The limited warranty does not apply to any non-Samsung hardware products or software.
  23. Samsung reserves the right to interpret the Terms and Condition contained herein.

Due to the close trade developments and collaborations across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, Mainland China warranty service for Hong Kong/Macau Genuine Samsung Smartphone has been launched for Samsung users to enjoy comprehensive after-sales services. Users of Hong Kong/Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones can now enjoy a one-year warranty service at Samsung-authorized service centres located in the key cities in Mainland China. Service warranty terms and conditions for Hong Kong/ Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones in Mainland China:

  1. Any Hong Kong/ Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones (not applicable to batteries and accessories) is eligible for local warranty service from the place of purchase, plus a one-year warranty service (warranty period is counted from date of purchase printed on receipt) at designated service centres in Mainland China (please see attached chart) ("Mainland China Designated Service Centres"), based on the official receipts and warranty certificates (customer copy) issued by authorized dealers. This service does not cover product returns or component replacements. Users are required to inquire from Customer Service Centres of the place of purchase (Hong Kong or Macau) to enjoy the related service.
  2. Repairing Hong Kong/ Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones in the Mainland China Designated Service Centres must comply with Samsung’s after-sales service policies in Mainland China. Under product warranty terms applicable in Hong Kong or Macau, Hong Kong/ Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones with expired warranties or implicated in damage caused by human factors are not eligible for warranty coverage, in which case the repair expenses will be borne by the users.
  3. Given models variance between Mobile Phones sold in Mainland China and Hong Kong/ Macau, Hong Kong/ Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones may require a longer repair period in Mainland China Designated Service Centres for warranty service. In the event of dispute, Samsung reserves the ultimate and final right of decision, with no objections from anyone allowed.
  4. Except for the abovementioned warranty service at Mainland China Designated Service Centres, Hong Kong/ Macau Genuine Samsung Mobile Phones are not eligible for the ‘Repair, Replacement and Refund Service Guarantees’ offered to Mainland China purchased Mobile Phones.
  5. Besides these warranty service terms and conditions, the existing warranty terms applicable to the products in Hong Kong or Macau remain unchanged, until further notification from Samsung.
  6. These warranty service terms and conditions are enforced under the principle of non-infringement or non-violation of laws and regulations in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau. If any provision or a portion of these terms and conditions are unlawful or cannot be enforced, the said portion of the terms and conditions will be rendered void. No individuals are allowed to pursue claims or legal liabilities against Samsung based on such a reason.

Service Policy / Warranty

This is to certify that this Projector Product ( A / P / U Series) is free of congenital defects in materials and workmanship. We guarantee to offer the end user two years free parts and labour warranty services within the limit of the following conditions:
