How to reconnect a disconnected S pen

If you experience an issue with your s pen where it disconnects from your device, read on to find out how to troubleshoot the problem.

Sometimes it is possible for the S pen to become disconnected after updating the air command app. You may receive a notification in the notification window telling you that the S pen has been disconnected. This can occur when the permissions for ‘Nearby devices’ and ‘Physical activity’ in the Air Command app are initialised in Android S operating system. Try the following troubleshooting steps to attempt to resolve the issue.

If you see the notification S Pen disconnected after plugging in your S pen:

1 Tap on the notification
2 Tap Allow to allow permission of nearby devices
1 Go to Settings
2 Tap Advanced features
3 Tap S Pen
4 Tap Air actions
5 Go to more settings by tapping on the 3 vertical dots
6 Tap Reset S Pen
7 Tap on Allow
1 Go to Settings
2 Tap on Apps
3 Select Air command
4 Go to Permissions
5 Tap on Nearby devices and after completing the next step repeat for Physical activity
6 Choose Allow
7 Repeat steps 5 and 6 for Physical activity
