This product is a disappointment. - No VESA mount - Only 1 HDMI port (at least 2 HDMI ports, in addition to the USB-C alt-DP, should have been present) - Would have preferred Android OS (not their Tizen OS) + limited applications (specifically no Bell fibre application) + provided browser constantly causes the monitor to freeze-up and I have to power the unit off then on to clear (start over) + All the advantages and commonality that would have been present with Android are LOST! - SmartThings application is pointless and provides no value I regret buying this awful monitor. Completely disappointed over the past year.

i read every review, watched every youtube video, thought about it, and finally made the decision. i am everything apple but couldn't afford or justify spending 2k on their new monitor. i love my samsung 65” tv so much and knew i couldnt go wrong with the m8. it is everything everybody has said about it. stunning picture, works perfectly with my m1 pro macbook. i tried it with the usb-c cable, but found the hdmi worked much better. thank you samsung for including both cables! i am, quite simply, over the moon! so highly recommend!

This monitor has come up on my Tik Tok and instantly I knew I had to have it. I couldn't believe shipping, literally came next day. The pink color is even more stunning in person, easy and quick to setup. Easy to use. I bought it more for the monitor to connect to my pc not the smart tv but it is cool to have. Everything you need to connect the monitor to pc is in the box. The downfall is the original price, I wouldn't have paid full price for the monitor (glad I didn't) as I don't just use the smart tv portion much. I also don't like the time out where it starts counting down if you're using the monitor and aren't right at it, I haven't figured out how to change it if applicable. The speaker quality is pretty standard and are just fine for my needs.

i really like the monitor for my at home set it. it looks great on the desk, set up was super easy, and i like that it has a built in camera so i can close my laptop on only work on one screen. i am however extremely disappointed with the fact that during the second day of use a horizontal and vertical line appeared on the screen. they weren't there when i set it up and they weren't there during a full day of work. then just randomly showed up mid-workday. now i have to find a box big enough to mail it back and hope it doesn't get damaged in transport to get it fixed. i expect better quality for the price.

The design is amazing but as usual samsung ruins it with the software. Its too similar to a TV and not like a monitor at all! Just to change the input it requires You to go through 3 menus which are FULL OF ADS and bloatware you dont want! Bixby is trash aswell, just to change the brightness I need to verify I am happy with what i said using the remote, it defeats the entire purpose of bixby. If i wanted to touch the remote then i wouldve. The hardware and the design is great though, its thin and exactly like the M1 imac and the camera is great. The software though needs a huge update, i absolutely HATE it

Got this M8 yesterday with sales deal to replace 3 years old samsung monitor. Easy to setup and great pictures for watching TV and/or doing computer stuff. Only little complaint is the sound quality. Clear voice, but no bass, which can't feel the depth of sound. Consider it is so thin, no space to put bigger speakers, so it is kind of acceptable. Going to add better wireless speakers later to bring up the whole feeling.

This does not measure up. The webcam will only work with the monitor software, and not from your Mac, even though the website say "Jump into any conversation. The SlimFit camera with tilt functionality lets you create the perfect angle while using your favourite video call apps..." and the USB C connectivity does not push data onto external drives, even though the website says "The USB type-C port enables you to power up, ***transmit data***, and even send display signals between devices with just one connection"

I am using this as a secondary screen for my mac studio/studio display and it is perfect for this purpose. I don't use the speaker or camera or streaming (but I can which is a plus, if I ever move it to another room). I really appreciate having the extra screen real estate with the 32" for a lot less than the cost of another studio display, and the picture quality is excellent. It did scratch my desktop so I had to add felt feet to the bottom of the stand- that would be my only complaint so far.

I'm so close to giving this 5 starts. Picture quality is good, features are amazing, design is great. I'm using the first one of these as a TV tucked away on a book shelf in the living room - it fits exactly - 100 streamed content via BBC, Netflix, NowTV Plex etc. All works very well. Why not 5 stars? The sound quality from the internal speakers, even for quick catch up on the news, is almost painful to put up with. A small soundbar plugged into the HDMI port has fixed the issue.

It has 4k solution, good for text clarity with 32''. The color is rich and contrast is perfect for watching movies during night. There are some Cons as well: USB-C connection is very convenient for me with MacBook usage. One cable for power and display but I met some connection problems. Sometimes it didn't work and i have to plug-replug a couple of times in order to get it connected. Recently i got a problem with the sound if i watch videos from my laptop while using the monitor's speaker. Another problem is the switch between TV and PC is not convenient and i have to use the remote control and click a few arrows every time for the switch. if there is a shortcut button, that will be better.

I loved my first M8 and bought a second soon after. It operates great as a TV to watch Netflix, Prime video and Paramount. I work from home and use both monitors every day for work. Once I am done for the day, I switch the screens to TV and it is heavenly. Streaming is fast, and the picture is so good; I’ve stopped watching TV in the living room on the bigger screen because the picture is so much better on these screens. Best purchases I’ve made all year! Love my M-8’s!

J'ai lu l'autre commentaire sur le fait de ne pas pouvoir aller sur internet ou dans gmail, etc. C'est dommage de saper la note d'un produit alors qu'on ne l'utilise pas comme on le devrait : c'est juste que c'est un écran, ce n'est pas un ordinateur. Oui il y a des fonctionnalités annoncées, mais évidement que ça ne remplace pas un ordinateur, c'est tellement logique que c'est étrange de devoir l'écrire. C'est une superbe dalle, plutôt accessible niveau prix (c'est cher et pas cher selon à quoi on le compare), pour mes besoins, ça fait large le café ! (c'est une expression, n'allez pas croire qu'il fait office de cafetière, tout comme il ne remplace pas un ordinateur).

the audio on this monitor was so terrible that i returned it the same day. the back housing on the monitor is plastic, and i'm not sure if the speaker was blown. either way, the audio on low would crackle. it's truly unprecedented. i have owned several samsung devices and appliances for over two decades, and lately, the quality has baffled me. i can't add the audio/video on here.

I have been really enjoying my time with the M8 smart monitor. I work as a UI designer, so color reproduction and clarity are very important to me, and the M8 does a great job in this regard. I also dabble in gaming, and the M* performs well enough for my needs. I'm not a pro gamer, so I don't depend on crazy high refresh rates, but the M8 seems to hold its own at 4K and 60MHz. I was pleasantly surprised with built in smart features and apps. Generally I have preferred an external device like a Roku for bringing apps to my displays, but the M8s software is well thought out, and everything seems to be there that I need. Game streaming apps like Geforce Now work very well! My one complaint would be the picture quality of the supplied Slim Cam. The picture is a bit fuzzy, and it would be great to have a camera with a picture quality that matches that of the monitor. All in all, the M8 is a great product, and I recommend it!

Très bon moniteur mais qui souffre de ne pas être compatible Thunderbolt. Ce n'est pas un détail: vous ne pourrez pas brancher votre mac ou certains PC récent dont la Microsoft Surface pro 9 car il ne prend en charge que l'USB-C. L'affichage devra se faire en HDMI comme un "vulgaire" écran PC. Oubliez donc la recharge et l'affichage sur une seule prise.

I either use a HDMI connection and extend my laptop screen or I use a usb-c connection so I can use the camera. For some reason I cannot do both with one cable. A technician walked me through several scenarios (3 hours worth) before telling me to return it.

Beautiful monitor with crisp display and beautiful colors. I'm by no means a techno person, so take my review with a grain of salt. The colors are stunning! I find it's comparable to my older iMac in display quality. I opted for a separate monitor than an all in once since I upgraded to a Mac Mini and later possibly a NUC. Took a little exploring to get used to the menu screen and navigation. Love the remote, even though at times I feel it's a bit slick and slides out the hand too easy. The smart options built into the monitor are great, I generally use this more than my TV now for streaming. I find the speakers are a little lacking but that's a minor quibble as I have synced some smart speakers for stereo sound, later I'll purchase some speakers that are designed specifically for surround sound. I haven't explored DEX too much yet, I'd be curious to know if Samsung would ever consider a DEX box to sync to their monitors? Like a mini productivity set top box. Stunning monitor to stream and watch TV. Loving it as my main display for my computer.

In answer to your questions, yes you can connect a second HDMI using an adapter, however it's not always guaranteed to work completely as frequency and resolution may decrease depending on the type of conversion. You cannot connect to a wired internet connection using a LAN adapter to USB-C as it is only dedicated to transmit audio and video signals, and no you cannot output sound through a USB-C adapter/converter. This monitor comes with a boat load of features for a decent price. 4k, 32inches, smart tv, airplay, sort of built in webcam, built in speakers, the list goes on. If you intend to utilize most or all of the features - it is worth the price. This is basically a monitor for people wanting to combine their TV and computer display. However if you are just looking for a quality 4k monitor there are plenty that are better, cheaper, and more reliable. You also don't have to deal with the joke that is Samsung support and pray you don't have any issues with the monitor upon arrival or after the pitiful 15 day return policy. I have a lot of issues with their quality assurance as my monitor came with dead pixels and noticeable issues between the display and the bezels surrounding it. I now have to take a day off work to drive 20 minutes out of town to get it serviced because they wont let me return it. If this was made by any company other than Samsung I would give it 3 stars. But because Samsung might be the worst company I've ever had to deal with for servicing and return - I bumped it down a star and wouldn't recommend.

Aside from being 32" 4K which in and of itself is good, this has four great features, in my opinion: 1) It's thin, and has a low profile stand, which means it doesn't take over your desk space like other monitors. 2) The height adjustment is great for tall people, as it goes up quite high, and flexibly low. 3) The cable positioning allows for no cable visibility. 4) The camera and speakers are perfect for a standard business use-case. It does also have five negatives, I find, though. 1) The volume cannot be natively software-controlled when connected to a computer, so volume keys don't change the speaker volume. You have to use the remote. 2) The device seems to "fight" with itself about whether it's a monitor or a TV. If you intend to use this purely as a monitor, be prepared that a few interface elements are going to take over the screen fully, like accessing the menu to change settings. Once you're in the settings, you can see your desktop behind it, but that can be jarring if you're trying to change video settings while also seeing your desktop. 3) Some of the core device functionality only works if you connect to your SmartThings account, which then requires a corresponding mobile app; making this potentially challenging if used for work, and if you also have SmartThings for home use. 4) The interface when navigating to access settings or other input sources is a bit sluggish and doesn't have the fast response time I'd expect from a monitor. But that's not a huge issue, because it's not like you pop into settings every hour. 5) The camera, when connected to a PC or Mac, has no real options to configure. You can't adjust lighting input or zoom, so if your room is not well lit, the image is quite dark. Overall though, it's a quality display, with flexible configuration, and is perfect as a desktop monitor, more so than as a TV, but it works well for both.

I'll start with the build quality. It looks great in press photos, but it feels rather cheap in person the moment it's unboxed. Very plastic and fragile build. Every time I tilt or adjust the height, I'm afraid something will break. For the very same reason, it took me days to dare pull the SlimFit camera up out of the base so as to be able to tilt it at a practical angle. In case you wonder why I'm so paranoid about breaking it, my last Samsung monitor's power port broke from inside after a few months' of use. The repair process was so impractical that I basically gave it up. Despite the cheap build, the M8 is still the best looking Samsung monitor I've ever seen or used, though the inspiration for its design is quite obvious ;) The 3 ports in the back also feel rather off. I have trouble trying to plug in the cables that come with the monitor. They fit poorly and don't go all the way in. A 32" 4K VA panel at 60Hz refresh rate is merely passable above-average specs in today's monitor market, and disappointing at the M8's price range. Texts are not as crisp and colours are not as sharp even compared to entry-level LG UltraFine or even Samsung's own less expensive line-up. When used with MacBooks, the default calibration looks horribly washed out. I had to switch to generic "Color LCD" to make it usable. There's noticeable colour distortion past certain viewing angles especially vertically. Now the good stuff. I am quite pleased with the feature set, Smart TV hub, USB-C PD, USB-C hub (though one 1 usable port), and best of all, AirPlay. I'm an Apple user, so those are just the features that I use. I'm sure others will find Windows wireless display and Samsung Dex quite useful as well. It's nice to have all those functions in one monitor. Added bonus, a lot less cables to get tangled with and frustrated by. Last and the biggest let-down, Samsung's Tizen OS. It's buggy, unstable and has a horrendous user interface. It feels like something from a decade ago. I have both Apple TV and Google TV at home. Comparing to both, Tizen OS is laughably inferior in every way, inconsistent and unintuitive through and through. Menus are overly complicated. Jumping between features is awkward and clumsy. And why does it have to push you ads on its own Samsung TV Plus, which is already part of the hub??? Also, trying to switch between Smart TV and using it as a monitor can easily get you lost. All-in-all, it's a good attempt with a lot to be improved. I'm only keeping the monitor because I got it at a good Black Friday deal. It's definitely not worth the full price.
