This product is a disappointment. - No VESA mount - Only 1 HDMI port (at least 2 HDMI ports, in addition to the USB-C alt-DP, should have been present) - Would have preferred Android OS (not their Tizen OS) + limited applications (specifically no Bell fibre application) + provided browser constantly causes the monitor to freeze-up and I have to power the unit off then on to clear (start over) + All the advantages and commonality that would have been present with Android are LOST! - SmartThings application is pointless and provides no value I regret buying this awful monitor. Completely disappointed over the past year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the monitor for approximately 3 months. No tell problems. Clear picture. Smart features seems redundant because I have smart TVs: therefore I rarely use it. I wish the monitor had a 3.5mm audio out to connect to a soundbar. I have not tried the wireless connection to a soundbar yet. I would prefer a thicker monitor with better speakers or reduce the price and remove the speakers and add an audio out. One bug that I found is, when using Windows 10 snippet, Game Mode Activates and it's like a big production on the screen when it occurs. I wish I could turn off the automatic menu pop up without turning off auto game mode detection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I appreciate the consumer-level versatility of this monitor, its field of view and color science are not as good as I'd expect from Samsung. I have certainly had Samsung televisions that were much more reliable and accurate. I can understand the price since it delivers a large screen in 4K and runs so many apps; but I expected better performance for my professional applications. Raising/lowering the monitor even slightly, or even shifting one's body, produces a perceived change in color and contrast - it's hard to find the sweet spot where the image looks its best. In retrospect, I would have chosen a different monitor for my purposes.

i was skeptical because i also own a 27" imac 5k and the samsung m8 is a fantastic price point option. while it's not an "apple to apples" comparison this in itself is packed with features i never knew i needed till i got one. yes, i considered a studio display. while it's not fair to make a 1:1 comparison, which many people try, i ditched the price of the studio display for this. i'm super happy. i can play my games, use it as a computer with my apple keyboard and so much more! i only bought apple products till now. this is my first samsung monitor. i don't regret it at all. *i received no incentives for this review. just a happy customer.

This monitor is the perfect for any room its versatility makes it a big bonus. there is a wall mounting option and the optional webcam that is included and attaches to the back of the monitor. it also includes a usb-c cable for connecting which is a must for newer devices that use USB-C. Its an attractive monitor that can fit well with any decor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4k smart Monitor has great visuals that do disappoint from side angles but shouldn't be a problem when used as a work/gaming station display since you'd be directly in front of it. Connectivity options are fair, but could be a bit more diverse. Additionally, the USB-C port can be frustrating to use as a display option. The multi-view option is great, but could also be more diverse with more app options. I do love being able to flip on TV viewing with minimal effort by just powering on the monitor and opening my streaming app of choice. Overall, this monitor is a versatile and great-looking display with some room to grow.

This monitor has come up on my Tik Tok and instantly I knew I had to have it. I couldn't believe shipping, literally came next day. The pink color is even more stunning in person, easy and quick to setup. Easy to use. I bought it more for the monitor to connect to my pc not the smart tv but it is cool to have. Everything you need to connect the monitor to pc is in the box. The downfall is the original price, I wouldn't have paid full price for the monitor (glad I didn't) as I don't just use the smart tv portion much. I also don't like the time out where it starts counting down if you're using the monitor and aren't right at it, I haven't figured out how to change it if applicable. The speaker quality is pretty standard and are just fine for my needs.

This monitor complimented my work setup perfectly. I don't have a lot of space in my apartment so it was great that it was light and easy to move around. There are a couple of things I'd suggest for future models though. #1 - no hdmi port. Only two USB c ports and a micro hdmi port. The micro hdmi that came with the monitor already got bent and I had to purchase a replacement. The second thing is I'm not able to. Find a good monitor stand to mount it on my wall. There are some adapters but not nounts that I've been able to find

this is my first samsung product and will likely be my last after how many issues i've run into with this monitor. the stand does not "click" into place, it just sits on two black metal prongs and thus i am not able to tilt-adjust this monitor as described because it will just fall off the stand. chalking it up to a defective, faulty stand, i reached out to support. several days later, i've received a new stand with the same exact issue. i can't tilt the monitor and am constantly worried it's just going to fall off the stand when i use it or it gets bumped. the entire chassis is made of plastic and feels like cheap junk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally use this monitor to add another screen to my laptop, with the occasional gaming session as well and I can confidently say that it will handle almost anything that you'd want as far as a do-it-all workstation. The gaming on game pass works fairly well, only really limited to your internet connection, and connecting controllers is really easy. As a work station, it's not for everyone, but for me, having the ability to have multiple things on screen at once without switching through tabs and windows is waaay better than just one screen. After all the work is done, you can easily switch to your favorite streaming service with a button press and an easy to follow UI.

i really like the monitor for my at home set it. it looks great on the desk, set up was super easy, and i like that it has a built in camera so i can close my laptop on only work on one screen. i am however extremely disappointed with the fact that during the second day of use a horizontal and vertical line appeared on the screen. they weren't there when i set it up and they weren't there during a full day of work. then just randomly showed up mid-workday. now i have to find a box big enough to mail it back and hope it doesn't get damaged in transport to get it fixed. i expect better quality for the price.

The design is amazing but as usual samsung ruins it with the software. Its too similar to a TV and not like a monitor at all! Just to change the input it requires You to go through 3 menus which are FULL OF ADS and bloatware you dont want! Bixby is trash aswell, just to change the brightness I need to verify I am happy with what i said using the remote, it defeats the entire purpose of bixby. If i wanted to touch the remote then i wouldve. The hardware and the design is great though, its thin and exactly like the M1 imac and the camera is great. The software though needs a huge update, i absolutely HATE it

Its display has a gazillion different shades of colors with an amazing fast-moving picture. Its display of 32 inches looks a lot nicer in person. The M8 is 11.4mm thick, which Samsung says is around a quarter of the depth of previous displays. The 32-inch display has a UHD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 and HDR 10+ compatibility. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. There's support for 1.07 billion colors, which covers 99 percent of the sRGB spectrum. The refresh rate tops out at 60 Hz, which may not cut it for some folks, while the response time is 4ms.

Got this M8 yesterday with sales deal to replace 3 years old samsung monitor. Easy to setup and great pictures for watching TV and/or doing computer stuff. Only little complaint is the sound quality. Clear voice, but no bass, which can't feel the depth of sound. Consider it is so thin, no space to put bigger speakers, so it is kind of acceptable. Going to add better wireless speakers later to bring up the whole feeling.

This purchase taught me that the last thing I want is a "smart" television. What "smart" really means is that the television doesn't really belong to you. Instead, it's not only pushing ads at you, it's constantly shoving stuff in your face that you didn't ask for and don't want to see, always hopping around and trying to get your attention. And it's sending data back to Samsung about everything you do. Though it's shaky and cheaply made, it's a decent monitor, as long as you turn off the network connection on the "smart" television to prevent it from trying to control your attention and intrude into your life. There really ought to be a consumer revolt against this kind of product.

Not to mention, it's a beautiful design, with a number of eye pleasing. When my old monitor went out, I decided to buy this monitor, and it's so great with the Wi-Fi enabled smart features. If you work from home, or even just do a lot of work on your PC, or just want to mirror your laptop, it's a fantastic monitor. Oh going to buy a second for not only double the workspace, but he able to stream entertainment simultaneously without taxing my PC hardware.

one of the big headlines of this monitor is the included webcam. unfortunately i have to say that the camera and monitor are not ready. i've had this monitor for about a week. on multiple computers and multiple meeting apps (zoom, teams, etc) the quality of my video (as seen by others) is usually one of the worst ones. more importantly, the webcam does not appear to have a microphone on it, and instead uses the monitor's long-range mics that are designed for google assistant / bixby. the result is that my audio is very difficult to hear, cuts out frequently, and sounds extremely echo-y to others. without the camera, this monitor isn't much different than last year's model or others that cost half as much.

monitor works great, nice picture and so far i have plugged numerous devices into it with no issues (pc, mac, ipad (beta firmware), samsung s8 ultra, xboxx, ps5 - all worked great). so i'm very happy with the monitor, my only complaint is the camera, it doesnt angle down enough, so if i attempt to use the camera i look like a 5 year old peering just above a table. as such i just cant use it if i want to be taken seriously on any work call. i could adjust the stand but then i would not be able to have my work laptop under the monitor, it would have to be off to the side. so this is probably a me problem versus samsung, but if the camera had just a little more adjustability it would make this monitor combo perfect.

Comparing the Apple Studio Monitor, it is great monitor but not as solid as Apple's. I ended up buying both. I like the 32" size and the Smart Monitor functions. If the rigidity of the framework is improved it is great buying. The brightness or clarity of the monitor is inferior to the Apple Studio Monitor, which has limited functions. The Mac computers are not optimized for 4K. It is optimized for 5K or 6K. I hope Samsung provide monitors optimized for Apple Macs.

Never had any issues with Samsung's warranty their monitor never had any pixel problems or dingo pixels and basically knowing that I have something that I can use for a couple of years and if there's any issue any complaints I have a warranty backing it up it gives me a piece of mind

connecting to my new mac i wanted like this monitor. i read countless reviews which tempted me to try vs buying the mac studio display. in reality the monitor (display) function is great, where it falls short is the sound and microphone. 1). you cannot control the volume level from the pc. you have to use the remote. 2). the microphone is subpar and when on webex or teams calls the volume comes and goes. my voice goes in and out. the microphone is subpar compared to a webcam microphone in other products. 3).the external speaker sound tinny and dont pack too much bass. compared to an imac speaker you will be disappointed. the m8 is a lot cheaper than a mac studio, however, that comes at a price. nothing is free is this world.

i've had this monitor for a few months now and i've been thoroughly enjoying it! i am a mac user and was originally planning to eventually add an imac to my lineup, however given that they are not just monitors, it seemed a waste. this, however, caught my eye as soon as it was announced. it seemed overpriced but after having and using it, i no longer feel that way. i'm a writer and it's nice to have my work on such a large screen. airplay doesn't work well. granted, my internet is not the fastest so that is why; if you're thinking of purchasing it because you can use airplay with it, understand it may be laggy depending on your internet speeds. i have to use the hdmi connection. there are pros and cons like everything, but it's very worth it.

i read every review, watched every youtube video, thought about it, and finally made the decision. i am everything apple but couldn't afford or justify spending 2k on their new monitor. i love my samsung 65” tv so much and knew i couldnt go wrong with the m8. it is everything everybody has said about it. stunning picture, works perfectly with my m1 pro macbook. i tried it with the usb-c cable, but found the hdmi worked much better. thank you samsung for including both cables! i am, quite simply, over the moon! so highly recommend!

I was hoping to use it independently using office 365 but was quite disapointed to learn that despite the web cam it doesn't support Microsoft Teams. So, I have to hook it to my laptop which works but I wish it could support this function. It is a sleek and stylish monitor with a gorgeous picture and smart TV functionality. A great investment but I think the work from home functionality of office 365 is a little limited with out Teams support.

while this monitor has a ton of options, i have been disappointed at how flat and washed out the panel is. unless i’m tilting the monitor back and looking at it dead on, the lower half of my screen appears desaturated and washed out/hazy. same thing if im looking it the screen for the left or right. as a photographer, this definitely creates problems while editing. i dont know if others are experiencing the same (i did see another user on reddit with the same issue) or if i got a bad panel. of course a replacement is a month’s wait…

It's big enough that I can watch movies or shows on it, but still small enough to fit on my desk. As a computer monitor it's great, 4K resolution with great color. I use it with both my personal MacBook and my work issues Lenovo laptop. I love that it has UBS-C as the main connection. If I had any suggestions for a future model it would be to add Thunderbolt and additional USB-C ports on the back for connectivity. Overall, a great choice, you won't be disappointed.

let me first starts with positives about this monitor, bright and beautiful colors, which is where it ends. the rest is all negatives, horrible image during dark scenes with no dimensions. absolutely horrible speakers, no fullness, and become distorted once volume is halfway. choppy sound with use of bluetooth sound system. wired dex frequently unrecognized, homescreen flickers nonstop. wireless dex major lag. magnetic camera only worked with builtin app, only one device recognized the camera but showed no image, and no other device recognized it. could not connect remotely with recommended app to windows pc. unfortunately there are way too many negatives that i dont have enough space to list here, and no software updates at this point. mine is going back.

I've had this monitor for almost a year now and the wifi has never really worked even though I have done extensive research on how to fix it. When it did work it was awesome with the apps. Now it's stopped recognizing my PS4 altogether, although I know for a fact the cable is still good because it works with my Samsung TV. The worst thing about this monitor is the lack of inputs slots and where they are located. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone for any reason & I complain constantly about how unsmart it is.

This does not measure up. The webcam will only work with the monitor software, and not from your Mac, even though the website say "Jump into any conversation. The SlimFit camera with tilt functionality lets you create the perfect angle while using your favourite video call apps..." and the USB C connectivity does not push data onto external drives, even though the website says "The USB type-C port enables you to power up, ***transmit data***, and even send display signals between devices with just one connection"

i liked the concept of a monitor and smarttv in one. however, this product fails at both. i don't watch much tv and for me personally would have been fine but i imagine for this money you can probably get a better tv. as a monitor, it simply didn't deliver. working with microsoft office in particular, it was fuzzy and not crisp. the color black seems to have some sort of shadowig. the sound from the speakers is just horrible. i didn't get to try the camera before writing this review and requesting a return label.

the m8 smart monitor has been a huge improvement to my work area, to the point that i'm looking to add more to the other areas that my girlfriend and i share. there are the features that it shares with other smart tvs/monitors; hdmi hook-up, streaming, and multiple ports in the back. however, the m8 has this beautiful uhd/4k display that takes pc gaming up a notch while spending a fraction of the cost. you can wirelessly stream/cast devices to the m8, so your desktop can be in the office while it streams to m8 in your kitchen and you play gta v while baking cookies. samsung's dex mode is a breeze to access from the m8's workspace. so when you need to do more intensive work from your phone/tablet or need access to specific apps or storage, dex on m8 has it covered.

I can connect a PC component for work & general computing needs. I can connect my phone with DeX. I can use multi view to watch & use computer on one screen. I would have given this 5 stars but the reason I did not is because the camera attached to the monitor only works when using Google chat app and does not work with other apps nor my PC component. Overall this is an amazing monitor with multiple uses.

the m8 prompted to set it up with my phone upon turning on, which failed and i completed the manual setup. i tried adding it to the smart things app after - the app kept see it needs to "download a package" which never happened... then the user interface was quite confusing, with apps that i could not uninstall even if i didn't want or need them. then my screen started freezing when trying to switch between inputs/apps. i had to switch off and back on to resolve. within the hour i was so frustrated that i started boxing it for a return. i had to perform a factory reset which turned out to be a challenge. the m8 requires a pin code to complete the reset, but there was no option for me to enter it using the remote control - i tried every button. only external keyboard worked.

i was initially hesitant to buy this monitor because of the mixed reviews. however, the cons outweighed the pros for me & i decided to buy this monitor & i'm glad i did. like most people have said the speakers on this monitor suck but i was able to remedy that by connecting the speaker i already had at my desk by bluetooth. i wanted a decent monitor i could connect to my macbook pro, have 4k resolution & also look aesthetic. i like that i can easily connect this monitor via usb-c to my macbook pro. the monitor itself is beautiful & i love that it has multiple color options. this monitor is also a smart monitor & works like a tv which i did not care for initially. i was just buying this monitor to use as a computer but i actually use it to watch tv too at my desk which is convenient.

first, the good - lots of capabilities (e.g., using the monitor to run microsoft365, netflix/etc); attractive design; good value; ability to power a laptop. the bad: connection (mac-specific). on the mac, the only way to get the camera to work with computer apps like zoom is to use the usb c connection. yet, using usb c, the m8 speakers are no longer controlled by the mac - you need to use the remote to adjust volume. viewing angles. the viewing angles, even vertical, are narrow. even the bottom of the screen looks washed-out when seated in front. minor but constant annoyance. probably not common, but i have a single stuck pixel right at eye level. not enough to go through the hassle of trying to get it replaced (and probably within tolerances anyway), but adds to my frustration.

not a very smart monitor after all. does not connect using the usb-c ports, which is all my mac has. had to buy an hdmi to usb-c adapter, and then it would connect, but the video camera won’t work. i was able to choose hdmi from the menu to get it to connect. but then hdmi stopped coming up as a choice, instead it said pc. i rebooted everything and it finally connected but now the resolution has changed and cannot be changed back, i see different choices in the system/display settings, everthing is too big. resolution never looked that crisp. and then the menu has a “mac” option that is just an airplay connection where the mouse has an unusable amount of lag. i am going to return it and get something that is just a monitor. this is apparently just a bad “smart” tv, not a monitor.

the colored version has colored bottom bezel and monitor stand but the rest of the monitor is white.why?colors are very washed out when using the samsung color profile on an apple mac studio.i switched it to apple rgb color profile and that looks much better.the microphone is on the camera module.i would prefer to have the microphones on the monitor.speakers and sound quality are a big letdown.to properly view content on the screen, i am using the scaled resolution, which increases text size. at least once a week, that setting changes on its own to "default for display" resolution and removes the 60 hertz refresh rate.the only way to fix it is to restart the computer.having to do this weekly is awful. design is great, the monitor is thin, the size is perfect.the smart feature is overkill.

I am using this as a secondary screen for my mac studio/studio display and it is perfect for this purpose. I don't use the speaker or camera or streaming (but I can which is a plus, if I ever move it to another room). I really appreciate having the extra screen real estate with the 32" for a lot less than the cost of another studio display, and the picture quality is excellent. It did scratch my desktop so I had to add felt feet to the bottom of the stand- that would be my only complaint so far.

Additionally, it's smart capabilities made is super easy to connect all of my services, such as Spotify, Netflix, and other streaming capabilities, when I was done working. The camera worked well and connected painlessly to my Macbook Pro. The display was bright and adjustable and worked in both low light and bright environments with limited eye strain. Well worth it for the price, and perfect for working from home and remote offices.

It works well as a second screen extension or on it's own with my Microsoft 365 things. I love that within this screen I can split the screen to show 2 different things at once and it has really helped my productivity as I can continuously work without having to close one thing to open another. It easily switches to the TV and other apps for leisure on my lunch break. This is probably one of the best things I've ever bought!

I love the built in Webcam, as I use this with my mac mini it's great for Zoom and FT. The built in apps were a nice bonus. The Tizen experience has many benefits such as samsung health integration. I feel like this monitor fits in beautifully in the samsung ecosystem as it is great for use with Dex if you have a S series phone or tablet. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

My experience with this monitor can be compared to the Wizard of Oz. While the monitor looks sleek, modern and aesthetically pleasing, the hardware is below average and faulty. Set up was not as easy as they claim it to be. It took several tries to connect to my laptop as well as getting the camera to work properly. It hasn’t been a year since I’ve owned the monitor and I’ve already had to send it in for repair TWICE. Even more frustrating was that these damages were not my fault as the hardware (sound and ports) malfunction. To make things worse, these damages were not covered by the warranty (is anything covered by the warranty?). So I’ve had to pay for the repairs to be done. Let’s not even mention that I had to pay packing fees. I couldn’t help but wonder if I just got dealt a wonky monitor.

I'm so close to giving this 5 starts. Picture quality is good, features are amazing, design is great. I'm using the first one of these as a TV tucked away on a book shelf in the living room - it fits exactly - 100 streamed content via BBC, Netflix, NowTV Plex etc. All works very well. Why not 5 stars? The sound quality from the internal speakers, even for quick catch up on the news, is almost painful to put up with. A small soundbar plugged into the HDMI port has fixed the issue.

*streaming apps in windows 10/web browser don't support 4k/hdr. you'll get 1080p, no hdr. youtube is an exception. *this screen is a great pc monitor but it also has apps for streaming. these apps give you great 4k/hdr experiences just like a 4k tv does. *stand is metal and very sturdy on m8, not cheap plastic as some have said *most people will be dazzled by this. pro rgb/ips/color experts should spend thousands on the monitor they really wanted. *i love my m8, it's wonderful.

It has 4k solution, good for text clarity with 32''. The color is rich and contrast is perfect for watching movies during night. There are some Cons as well: USB-C connection is very convenient for me with MacBook usage. One cable for power and display but I met some connection problems. Sometimes it didn't work and i have to plug-replug a couple of times in order to get it connected. Recently i got a problem with the sound if i watch videos from my laptop while using the monitor's speaker. Another problem is the switch between TV and PC is not convenient and i have to use the remote control and click a few arrows every time for the switch. if there is a shortcut button, that will be better.

i loved the m8 when i got it in august. beautiful screen, crisp resolution, the camera made my zoom calls better. even made some glowing social media posts about it. but within a month, the left fifth of the screen went gray - like everything on that part of the screen was being filtered. had to send it back (and to make things worse, ups damaged the screen during shipping). now stuck waiting for an investigation into the damage. fortunately i kept my old monitor and webcam.

love this gorgeous monitor! unboxing experience was excellent, perfectly packaged and labeled. setup was remarkable easy. connected to my macbook 14” m1 pro through provided hdmi cable. stunning screen, colors are vibrant and clear. fast and responsive. love the remote. i don’t watch tv on it, use for computing only, but its nice to know it’s available if ever needed. there are tons of monitors available…i am glad i made the decision to get this one. and it’s pink!

it is more of a tv than monitor. it expects you to do most of the things via remote. no ability to control brightness and volume with computer(i use mac), auto brightness is worst. screen is too dim for mornings, too bright for evenings. microphone quality is not bad when it works, but most of the time it does not! camera is good though. for 300-400 it is okay, but for 600 and 700 it is very overpriced, you will be far better buying monitor + android tv stick

media looks wonderful, it's nice spare tv. sounds is ok, not great.i have a mac and the task bar is washed out. the screen is just either dull or turning it up blasts your eyes. the interface is laggy - i have had the monitor freeze up three times in one hour. it's awkward to change inputs. build quality isn't great . the web cam rests too high. product needs refinement - not ready for prime time yet. considering a return after less than one day.

this is a nice product for basic viewing and projecting from a laptop. but is fails in the "smart" category. samsung has tried to pack a lot into it and has ended up with a jack of all, master of none. there is no way to install browsers like to chrome or edge. as a result, microsoft teams will not work. the exterior feels like cheap plastic. however when sitting on a desk it looks good. a wall mount option (as an accessory) would have been good.

The last few times I’ve used it for gaming, it has worked so well! My favorite feature is the custom screens regarding brightness, contrast, etc. Since I work a lot of night shifts, I’m not using my monitor until it is dark out and the custom screens make it easier to have less strain on my eyes while using the monitor at night!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly was easy enough, but it did have quite a wobble at first. ** Be sure to tighten the screw from the base into the spine fully. ** I've seen some people mention this before in prior reviews, and wonder if it was just a loose screw Remote has a sticky back button, but that could be my usage and love of peanut butter and jelly to blame. If it does become an issue I am able to utilize persistent notification, remote app, or widget with my phone, tablet or watch. It's amazing in 2024 that having fully interconnected devices isn't the norm so it's refreshing to see Samsung address that. Cam is great if not a little oversaturated but nothing to warrant a lower rating. Tizen can feel sluggish at times but nothing so substantial that I would lower the rating either. Just some ane6cdotal findings. Overall, im pleased with the monitor and felt its been a solid purchase.

When I connect the monitor to my MacBook for dual screen functionality, I can open 10 tabs easily on the monitor screen without problems. When gaming, the monitor enters game mode where there are settings you can tweak to prioritize like fps or refresh rate.

What really impresses me the most about this monitor is that it can be used as a hub for your smart home, im able to control my vacuums, air purifiers, and all my appliances. The xbox game pass feature is revolutionary, I don't need to have an Xbox plugged in to use game pass.

i preordered the new m8 display expecting a great visual experience but unfortunately this smart monitor does not deliver. the backlight is uneven esp on the left and right sides. the images look washed out from a pc/mac laptop. the smart tv images were good but the computer display (the reason i bought it) were not good at all. had to return it the same day. what a huge disappointment!!

the audio on this monitor was so terrible that i returned it the same day. the back housing on the monitor is plastic, and i'm not sure if the speaker was blown. either way, the audio on low would crackle. it's truly unprecedented. i have owned several samsung devices and appliances for over two decades, and lately, the quality has baffled me. i can't add the audio/video on here.

Anything that you want to hard wire, cable or desktop computer, you need a degree. If you have more than one thing to connect with a cable you'll need a docking station. This monitor is sadly lacking in ports. Otherwise it's wonderful.

I bought the monitor in December and I was so happy with it. 4 days after use, the screen will not turn on. However, the power was on (it was charging my connected laptop, etc.). I sent the monitor in for repair and it has been well over a month. I have yet to receive my monitor and have made numerous calls to get it fixed and sent back. Now, I am getting a replacement.

Picture quality is good to my eyes. Smart functions are nice to have but not something I see myself using. Good value for the money compared to Apple options. But really inexplicable why the speaker volume and brightness/contrast cannot be controlled from a computer (Mac) keyboard. Or at least from hardware buttons on screen rather than clunky remote interface.

this could have been an awesome product but it fell flat of my expectations. bloated with ads and extra samsung software i grew annoyed with the product until i placed all the bloatware in parental control mode and programmed it to turn to computer mode after turning on. it's cute but there is so much to improve on, also google meet hates the monitor camera.

I use two laptops at once and sync in-between seamlessly. I like the detachable camera which is responsive in fraction of seconds.It is a unique device and I would love to use more and know more personalities that M8 has.

Picture quality, brightness, contrast, HDMI, 4K, "Film Mode", are all preset and automated by source. Viewing is awesome. Firmware updates are automatic. Remote is simple to learn.

So far there has been a little lag when connected to my laptop, going to resolve by adjusting the settings a bit. Overall I'm happy, though, and the picture quality is beautiful. I recommend getting this is you're on the fence!

Second Samsung display recently where screen goes black and now longer powers up. The only way to repair is to send it back and pay for a repair, at a cost equal to a new monitor. Since this is the second Samsung monitor to blow in less than a year of use (and yes I have it connected to a surge protector!) I am so frustrated with Samsung's quality.

Would have been better if there's intintegration between Samsung phones, tablets and this "smart" monitor. Its a smart TV in a monitor, not necessarily a smart monitor. Smart features come in handy when needed to disconnect from work right at your desk. Only problem with this is the microphone on the slimfit camera. It doesn't capture the voice properly as it is on the back of the slimfit attachment.

The features allow it to act as a streaming TV, a screen to cast to, and a regular computer monitor. Other features, for me, have it standing out from the rest; The included camera can be used with monitoring your yoga poses, the new game mode lets you play streaming from your different video game services, and you can easily tap into the full benefits of the Samsung Dex mode of compatible devices. The drawbacks depend on what you're using it for and how stocked you are on cords/adapters. The M8 only offers a 32" screen (8/2022), it works fine as a desk monitor, but when viewing further away (roughly six feet) the scaling and ratio start to become a challenge. If you're using it as a TV/monitor combo, you should consider this part before mounting it in an awkward spot. Secondly, there are three ports; two USB-C (one for source) and a micro HDMI. A high-speed micro HDMI cord is supplied, which is enough to start enjoying.
